Is it just me, or are there more than the usual number of PSP updates today (compared to other Sundays)? Well, we can't really blame our good devs for being more inspired these days. With the recent birth of the 2.50/2.60 downgrader, there are bound to be more users that can appreciate their work. And nothing is sweeter than seeing your hard work appreciated by a lot of people. The guys working on the NeoGeo Emulator has joined in the fray and have released their first release candidate after four successful betas.As always, the ever-dependable Jeff C. of QJ.net has provided us a great translation of the changelog:
- Fixed a bug in showing the game names in the file browser.
- Fixed a timer processing bug that might prevented some games from running before.
- Fixed a bug(miss) in the scanline calculation that lead to slow game summary.
- Several fixes to the game name list (zipname.dat).
- The graphics of spinmast cannot be displayed (Reason: unknown)
- Tempo of the music from crswords and some other games are unstable.
- Sound effect in the demo of sonicwi2 continues. (This cannot be fixed under current specification. I have to stick to the current specification for stability and speed of the sound playback. I really hope that the PSP has faster processing speed.)

Until Metal Slug 3-5 are playable at full speed I'll be waiting to try this out. Also, does this take the MAME roms or neo geo roms? Keep up the great work.
This takes NEOGEO ROM sets in the specification (specific dumps & naming) as specified for MAME 0.106.
Only games i really want to play for Neo Geo are SVC and the Metal Slug series...Can someone please confirm if any of those are working with this release?
Try some of the games that made the Neo-Geo a hit in the early 90's before they flooded it with dozens of fighters! mine was working fine but i've updated to this and it cant find the bios anymore but its still there in the roms folder!! is it supposed to be somewhere else now? i cant find anything that says it has to be moved fw1.5
just copied it into everyfolder there and it still cant find the bios ----- back to beta 4 for me
