Ó
Now over here at QJ Jeff C. made a translation of the ReadMe file that comes along with the download making it a whole lot easier to understand. Thanks Jeff C.!
Info from Read Me:
- Only supporting the compressed ROM set for MAME 0.106.
- Clone set containing home purpose ROM is not supported.
- Protected/encrypted ROM set is not supported.
- Games with special input port or dip switch are not supported.
- Due to the lack of memory on the PSP, only the ROM sets smaller 128Mbit (16MB) are supported. (I haven't tested the upper limit of the supported ROM size)
- There may still be some ROM sets that cannot be started even they comply with the conditions above.

There are way more Neo Geo games available than Neo Geo CD games, and the latter are too damn big/heavy on the memory sticks.
If this keeps progressing, it could be truly great. Regarding memory limitations, maybe the developers could peek into how these issues have been sorted out in the Neo Geo emulator GnGeo2x for the GP2X handheld. More info at:

Kudos to the devs!!! Respect!

i created all directories such as nvram and roms in the /psp/game/ngepsp directory.
i placed my roms and the downloaded neogeo.zip file in the roms directory.
any ideas?

"There may still be some ROM sets that cannot be started even they comply with the conditions above"
It seems like some roms come up with the bios-error, and after that, even games that worked before won't start unless I restart the emulator.
So, to all who have this special error, try a game that has been confirmed working fine, just to be sure if your bios is correct.
