Nostalgic players will pine no more for those classic arcade games of old, because of the works of Kech with the help of his fellow developers on MAME4AllPSP.On v0.0.2, the sound is much better compared to the previous release. The resolution has also received some much needed change. There's also the addition of new keys: Pressing the Left and Right key together would Pause the game while pressing Start and Select would Reset it.

Very good! Those arcade classics are great fun on portables!
do i stick my games in the games folder then the prog will just find them and show them in a list?
Does it work with the eloader?
i put a mame rom in the same directory but it says no games found.
Simply make a new folder in the mame directory called roms.
\game\MAME4ALLP SP\roms
And still some how even on these MAME EMU i cant run tapper.
The thing i see are verticale borders in different colours.

not working on 2.6 FW yet but im sure it will eventually, and come on unregistered people dont get mad at the dev for not catering to YOUR every need.

What makes you think he has to give you anything at all?
The fact is, he owes you and everyone else nothing. He has no obligation and is doing this for free. I hope he does not bother to read these blogs as well.

the same with everything, it may work on one 2.6 psp, but not on somebody elses 2.6's the same for all firmwares and games/apps/utils
dont ask me why but thats how it is!!!
it depends on lots of things like-
firmware,
memory card,
other programs on your memory card,
for eloader users-
the version your using,
whether you auto load the loader or not,
(if you dont autoload you dont free up enough memory for some apps)
but the one main thing is that most of you dont read the instructions properly.
there is usually a readme that comes with these things and you can get support in the forums....
so please no more does it work on's!!!!!!!!!!

It's people like you who piss off the developers. Does he give a crap if Tapper works? Probably not. So as it says in the title, just STFU.
This MAME has a ridiculous compatibility list if compared to the pc MAME; i really hope the DEVS can widen a LOT the numbers of executable roms, especially the CPS2 ones, i can't wait to see D&D and the tower of doom on my psp
so do the roms need to be in zip format, or unzipped?
I made a directory in the mame dir called "roms" and I placed my .ZIP'd roms in there. Alien Syndrome loaded up and I believe it recognized Shinobi as well. Both roms were zipped.

its actually alot better than the first.now u can pause and the games sound better.i hope he can fix the bugs with not being able to play jr pac-man,zoo keeper,arabian they are not big roms.or mr.do's castle it loads up but doesn't accept coins!

it does not work with the super bock eloader what kind of work is this get together with some ppl that know how like fanjita that lazy fat ass that does nothing but telling us oh you cant play iso's fat ass when the water you need has a price dont cry and tell us you cant drink
Does it play marevl vs capcom?
... just older games at full speed:
e.g. Ghosts n Goblins (1986). Newer games like Final Fight 1 and Punisher only work slow (just a first test, though). Problem is that you need .37 roms. Current romsets for PC mame are for version 0.106 where a lot of roms have been redumped in the meantime and thus are not valid anymore to use in this nice emu...

I got punchout and superpunchout to work. I'm hoping that perhaps a vertical / 90 degree tilt mode can be made to take advantage of the arcade games that used two stacked monitors (ie. Punchout and Superpunchout) any and all improvements are greatly appreciated by the community. Great work ! and Thanks !
This is a great start. People have to remember that it is still a work in progress so just be patient.
Has anyone got Pac Man, Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, or Tron to work? Running on 1.5. All variations of Pac Man load, but a black ‘gap’ is just above center screen that the character can not cross. The DK’s both load, but they can only go side-to-side, not up, and Tron loads into an infinite ‘screen test’ mode. Wrong ROM’s? Bugs in enu? Is there anything I can do? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Great work guys – a thousand thanks!

The speed is actually pretty good. Sound is better, but still garbled.It's hard finding the correct rom set for these games.
most cps1 games play pretty good.Just because the games are on the list doesn't mean they work.I still can't even get pacman or galaga to work. Also defender and joust load,but there is no way to start the game.
mame kinda sucks because it says mame for all but it's only mame for some..............a fix would make me spit in my pants..............for the record I'm not complaining just hoping a fix will come soon

From 38 - Finding the right ROMs is a bear - I have joust, galaga and defender loaded and working great - still can't find pacman or ms, dk or dk jr or tron. Thanks to the developers and keep up the great work. For those who can't get it to work - stop *****in'...either develop your own emu, buy a 1.5 on ebay or don't use it.
While I really appreciate all the development work on these apps, I'm completely new to playing around with my PSP and I need beginner instructions on how to set the files and folders up.
Can anyone help me get this installed on my PSP? Here's the problems I'm seeing.
1) Do I need to install an older version of the files onto my PSP first? If so, where are the files and what directory setup do I need them in? Do I unzip the latest version over an older version?
2) Do I need to create any additional directories? Which and where?
3) Do I need to Hak my PSP to run the MAME application? If so, how do I do that? Are there resources I can learn about it?
4) Can someone provide step, by step, instructions with full details?

I've only been at this a few weeks as I recently purchased my 1.5 on ebay. But I know that before anyone can begin to help you, we need to know what firmware version of PSP you have. BTW, does anyone know if there is a message board or more appropriate forum to discuss such topics than the comments section to a homebrew emu?

If I can gather enough information, I'd be happy to create an article on mods, emulators, and how to get them working for the PSP Wiki.
Also, is there a place on this site to submit suggestions? Because it would be fantastic if there were a way to search and filter downloads based on keywords and firmware versions.
a guy from spain managed to fix this so it now runs on 2+ with bock.
i have 2.5 and it works now.
if you want it you need to go to that site and download it.
i have a copy and would happily upload it to this site if i could.
i have bad dudes, captain commando and 1941.
i haven't had a lot of time to test yet but at least its a start.
testing is what we are all here for right.
oh well better go load some more games to try.

Ungh, thus far ive only been keeping tabs on this really for D&D tower of doom and shadows over mystara.
i downloaded the two files and put them in G:/psp/game file and made a rom file in the mame4allpsp. then i put a rom in the rom file. when i try and play it says theres nothing there. oh and i have a version 1.5 psp. so can anyone help me please!?!?
Sounds like there's a chance I'll be able to figure this out soon. What is Bock and where do I download it from?
