Latest Daedalus R6 Compatibility update- 50 games tested! |

N64 fans would really appreciate the pains Captain Morgan is going through. In case, if anyone is in doubts over a particular game's compatibility on Daedalus, they can simply refer to these tests which Captain Morgan does. We'd definitely refer to these guides before we decide about the games. In this guide alone, he has tested 50 odd games!
Anyways, here's some of the screenshots, with Captain Morgan's inputs.

There are a lot more compatibility reports in the attached file like Bomberman Hero, Diddy Kong Racing, Dr. Mario 64, Mega Man 64, Super Smash Bros and a whole lotta more! 50 titles will make a big list, wouldn't it? we all kno that the current n64 emulator doesnt run perfectly yet so its kinda useless testing the games if it doesnt even run. no offense capt.but dont slave over this

If you THOUGHT for a second, you'd realize that there are many solutions to remedy this dilemma. The PSP & N64 both share L + R buttons, a joystick + d-pad of some sort, and a start button. X & O can be A & B, triangle can be Z, and square could be held down to change between the C buttons and the d-pad. MOST N64 games do not use the d-pad and the joystick at the same time. Thus, the settings for the majority of roms could be set so that the PSP's d-pad would act as the C-buttons.
I thought his last "update" was the last one. I guess since strmnnrmn said that he didn't need him to join his team he decided to post this thing again. When R7 comes out we will have to hear about all these games again. I think it is fine if he wants to do this but why post it on the front page? All other compatibility list are posted in the forums. Also as someone else pointed out why even bother with the list when half of the games lock up or run dog a$$ slow. Just wait for a few months when the thing is faster then test them. No one is going to spend 30 mins trying to play the first level of mario with no sound just to say they did it. Give it a rest man.
@#8 You sir, are truly an idiot...Copyrighted pictures? Pictures are the copyright of the people who take them (Not the company that makes the game). You can report Morgan, but it won't do any good. The FBI isn't going to bust down Morgan's house for having N64 ROMs. Get a life or go back into your mom's basement (AKA Your "Apartment".
#13 so you say that you will be playing, take the time to press and hold square to change those four buttons to be the c butos, use as c buttons then take the time to press the square again to change back to use a and b??? thats just stupid.
stop posting this to boost the ego of the daedelus creator. Is he secretly funding qj or somthing? when you have somthing worth posting post it otherwise less is more. The next post i want to see about daedelus is one that says it can run a single rom at a playable framerate. I am seriously considering changing news sites.

A & B can be X & O. That's definite. The d-pad can be set as the C buttons. IF you ever need to use the d-pad, you could either: hold down square while using the d-pad, or tap square to change between the C buttons and the d-pad. Nevermind. It's pointless to try to explain to the prepubescent idiots that make up for the majority of the anonymous posters on this site.
fck this crap first theres no playable game because its to dam slow second theres no way to use all the buttons so thats enough reason to cut the cprap of the n64 emu and all of these releases for nothing because not even the newest release is playable
#22 so what you are saying is to use all 4 c buttons with the same finger you use for the analog, in other words use butonds intended for the right hand but not just that, use then at the same time and with the same finger ans the analog??? another one you are just stupid

I dont get why he is doing a R6 compatibility list when R7 is going to come out soon enough with new fixes and new bugs. Nobody plans on using daedalus until R7(better speed) so there is no real point.
for the c-buttons it should be L or R + the X,O, etc. Z can be square or triangle.
wtf is everybodys problem, the guy is testing so other people dont have to and so its easier to reference the statistics for each ROM for each build. and im playing zelda: oot using pj64 on my comp with my psp as my controller so dont gimme this bull***** about the psp not having enough buttons.
he is doing this because how many times in the forums have you seen "does zelda work yet?". this will answer everyones quesiton.
but the real question is, why are people even trying? They know that it will barely run so whats teh point? qj should stop these dumb tests for every new update.

Guys I submitted alot of information to Qj but they did not post any of it and I'm sorry. This is the Final edition, I told them that but they didn't mention that. The reason I updated is because my original goal was 50 and I had someone contribute 11 tests so I was only 2 away from my goal, so I tested 2 and now I'm at the final 50. Enjoy!
Also to the people who don't see the point, Qj did not post my information I gave them. I told them the reason for these tests are just a preview of a COMPATABILITY LIST I PLAN ON MAKEING WHEN DAEDALUS IS IN IT'S FINAL STAGES. There will be no more updates, and to the ones that I said that I am not posting anymore messages on these comments, I am simply posting because Qj lacking in posting the description of the article I gave them. And to anyone that wants to bring me up on piracy, I have all these games. My brother a year ago robbed someone who owed him alot of money and he got a crap load of N64 games in one of the bags. I can pretty much guarentee I have all these games and probably doubles of some of them, the kid was a straight up game junkie I guess.
The more games that are tested regardless of the current Daedulus build the more complete the games graphics will be in the later releases. The Dadeulus dev put in place some kind of purple colour when it comes across missing mux, you might remember seeing this in the early builds when you played Mario 64. He clearly stated that the more people who sent him these missing mux files the better. The more games Morgan tests and missing Mux he submits to the Dadelus Dev the better. So before all of you complain and make statements like ''this is useless'' ''he is just trying to get credit'' maybe you should take a look at the bigger picture and actually use your brain for once.

is it possible to map the volume+and- buttons and the mute/brightness button since there is no volume and the light setting could maybe be preset in the rom select screen
so your brother's the theif then ahha ? @45 we dont need any more buttons! but the brightness and volume could possibly switch the c-pad and d-pad or switch in between control settings.
In the list it says it hangs before it gets to the main menu, but I've gotten past there and in-game; it runs about the same as THPS 2.

The person you brother stole them from does. So you are guilty of receiving stolen goods. Who even cares if it's pirated? First of all, you can't be arrested for having pictures. Second, whether he possesses stolen goods or not isn't really any of our damn business, is it? Are you gonna call the cops and say "HAY GUYS CAPTANI MOEGAN ON QJ R HAVNG TEH STOLEN NINTEDON GAMEZ LAWL??!!1" Third, maybe it doesn't run very fast, but at least he's trying. A lot of people have been whining for an N64 emulator, and he's doing something about it. At the very least the speed (or lack thereof) may finally quiet some of the people who've been looking for it. Though I will admit... I'd rather the dev community focus on making an SNES emulator that can run everything at full speed than an N64 emulator that will may never be even bearable.
No I would not report some one for having stolen games, I just find it funny that he said that he didn't pirate the games he tested but his brother stole them and gave them to him like that made it any better. It's kinda like saying "I didn't counterfeit this money I stole it from the bank" It's still wrong. I am so sick of people coming on here and complaining. This stuff is all free guys with people using it if they feel like it just like you come on here and complain with your free will without giving anything back worth anything in return. If you can find better news somewhere else please don't come on here and complain and sound childish. It sounds like spoiled kids crying. If you were my kid I would have spanked you and sent you to your room for talking to respectful visiting guests like that. People come on here and submit things all the time and some things I find of value and some things I don't just as you do. I have no need to gripe about these free things, only compliment and suggest when I feel the need. There is no sense in complaining about a hobby that others have. I find these tests useful. I have yet to use the n64 emu for the PSP do to the speed and glitches but if someone else does, because they feel like it, and they post their results, that is great because it gives me info on how far the emu has progressed or shows possibilities that will draw my interests to keep my eyes open for updates. No need to complain here just taking it with stride. Awwww isn't getting something for free wonderful, especially now days when it is hard to find something of value for free.

to the dumbass who was complaining about not being able to use the c-buttons and the d-pad at the same time u obviously havnt played many nintendo 64 games coz most of the time c-buttons are used for camera rotation or selecting items or menus and it's not going to matter if you can't use then both at once. When ur using headphones or sometin like dat u can change sound settings by tapping the note key ex.Heavy,Jazz etc. and also by holding the note key u can mute the psp

this emulator is crap the graphics are good but i tried playing mario kart and did not finsh the lap the game game crashed half way the buttons are hard to rember there was no sound

I come to this every week and ill i see is a bunch of crap telling me that new things were happening and new games are working but seriously you guys need to just tell me when a f***ing good emulator comes out not some captain morgan crapola that i dont really give a s*** about i just want a good emulator so i can play games so the next thing i read i hope it read...
