uberjack's fMSX 3.5.1 - MSX emulator for the PSP - Image 1

PlayStation Portable homebrew developer Akop Karapetyan (better known around these parts as uberjack) has finally released the new version for the MSX emulator, fMSX. The numbers are now up to 3.5.1 and the application sports a number of cool changes and additions.

In case you missed the previous reports regarding this emulator for the retro gaming platform MSX, fMSX is a PSP port of Marat Fayzullin's original emulator. Anyway, here are the changes as listed on uberjack's blog:
  • PSP version brought up to par with Marat's official version
  • Sound should now function correctly following a state load (in previous versions, sound would often stop)
  • MSX MUSIC bug fixed - FMPAC should now be loaded correctly (earlier versions attempted loading from an incorrect location, and thus failed)
  • When switching games, latest save state will be automatically highlighted
There you have it boys and girls. Check out the downloads below. fMSX comes in two flavors: one compiled for 1.50 and the other compiled for 1.00 and 2.00+. As usual, check out the readme before anything else.

Download: fMSX 3.5.1 (compiled for 1.50)
Download: fMSX 3.5.1 (compiled for 1.00 and 2.00+)
