Ó
Developer zx-81 has released the newest and final version of his MSX Emulator for the PSP. This is actually a modified and ported source code of developer Marat Fayzulin's fMSX program that emulates the MSX 8bit home computers. In version 1.0.3 of the PSPMSX, zx-81 has made (perhaps the last) additions to this emulator:
All roms can now be loaded directly
MSX version can now be changed inside the emulator (no need to rename rom)
fixed a bug in sound startup

awesome release! thanks!
So this is a NES emulator?...
@1: This is a port of fMSX ...
No, this is an emulator for the MSX, which was a kind of home computer big in Japan and also released in Europe. I don't think it was ever released in North America. The reason why it's showing Metal Gear is because the first two Metal Gear games were made for the MSX. The first one was then later ported (badly) to the NES. The second game in the series, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, was a Japanese exclusive MSX game, although there is a translated version on the net. It's also been rereleased on the Metal Gear Solid 3 Special Edition. And before any asks, Metal Gear: Snake's Revenge isn't actually part of the series. It was a NES only sequel developed by another company in order to cash in on the success of the first game. Phew. Anyway, back on topic, the MSX had some pretty great games on it. Any word on whether this runs Snatcher or not?
can this emulator read mx2 files?
