FBA4PSP: Final Burn Arcade homebrew emulator for PSP

Screenshot of FBA4PSP homebrew emulator for PSP - Image 1If old school arcade games are your thing, then you might be pleasantly surprised to hear a new homebrew emulator was recently released on the PlayStation Portable which can play your favorite NeoGeo, Capcom Play System or Toaplan/Cave arcade games.

Based on the Finalburn Alpha emulator, FBA4PSP allows you to play games from the MC68000/Z80 arcade machines. These include games released on the systems we mentioned above with very efficient results. The emulator makes use of a cache to run some games, which allows it to run a lot smoother, especially on the PSP Fat.

Well I looked through the list of games and I don't see but like 1 or 2 shooters. Mostly it is just CPS1 and CPS2 games.

There is already an emulator that runs these games. I was hoping that this ran mostly MAME roms... I guess I will keep waiting.... Thanks a lot anyway for the port!

I use QJ for the NEOGEO and Capcom games. FBA4PSP works with the Toaplan/Cave games as well as many other MAME games. I can get many of the Toaplan/Cave games to work such as DoDonPachi, DonPachi, ESP Ra De, Air Gallet Dangun Feverson and more.



The Toaplan/Cave games that I can't get to work are Mazinger Z, Battle Bakraid, Battle Garegga, Armed Police Batrider, Fever SOS and Truxton 2. Please let me know if anyone got these games to work.

Fever SOS is a clone of Dangun Feverson, but in English. I was finally able to get Truxton 2 to work, after trying multiple ROMs. Just try to find a working one for those 2 games and you should be good to go. As for the other games you mentioned, I've had no luck with those either.
