Sony's PSP - Image 1After giving us an Alpha release just a few days ago, Zion is back with a bumped up version of his Chip8 emulator for the PSP called DreamChip.

Zion says that he worked really hard on this second release so that he can bring us a version that'll fix the previous bugs that users have reported. He has also tweaked the controls such that it now works great with every game he tested it on.

In addition to that, he says that more ROMs now work including Tetris. He has also decided to include the source code to this release BUT, he also wants to get this message across: "Source code is released under the gpl licence (i think) and is included in the zip file. I do not permit unofficial builds to be released of this emulator."

Hope that's loud and clear for all those who are interested in working on DreamChip. But just in case you're really interested, you can find Zion's contact details, as well as other info, on the readme. Included in his to-do list for the next release is a file browser and a speed up for the games that are currently running a bit slow.

Good job.

» This sucks

Most games don't even work good. This is terrible and stupid. Zion can't code for $hit. He is the worse person to code in the world. Don't even bother downloading this crap as it is worthless. QJ, take this crap off the front page.

» Read the GPL

"I do not permit unofficial builds to be released of this emulator."

This violates the GPL.

He is allowed to make this. He got permission. He doesn't want people to publicly make another release of this though

What a bunch of tards, "Nice Work Keep it up & What is that emu anyway" in the same sentence shows how stupid people really can be.

Like why are you even posting if you don't know what it is.

Retracting their complements by asking what they are complementing about.

QJ's readership or shall I say there completely baked

posters need to start getting more oxygen to the brain.

» GPL'ing the code means you CAN make your own builds

If it's under the GPL, then the author cannot stop people from making their builds.

Not that I don't think 98% of the PSP's community are drooling imbeciles, you seem to be in absolutely no position to judge.
