Dosbox V0.7.1 - DOS Emulator For PSP - Image 1

It appears Crazy_C has found inspiration from the folks who created the pre-made Eboot using the new components that originally came from him. After giving us a build of his DOS emulator last month, he's now back to the scene with another update to his DosBox project, now bringing it up to V0.7.1. Here's what he said in his release:

New patch and binary fixes the input issues that are causing problems with dos navigator (hopefully for good) and adds support for the full x86 address space so windows enhanced mode works.

For the uninitiated, DosBox is an emulator enabling users to run DOS programs on their PSPs. The important links and downloads are right below. It's also important to note that the "binary" download below is actually an ELF file, it should be converted to Eboot format first. You can also try renaming the file to "Eboot", but if that doesn't work, you'll have to convert it via a third party programs. Have fun with DOS!

how so you convert ELF files into eboots? I'm pretty sure that simply renaming them won't work...

It's only a (probably short) matter of time before somebody puts together a ready-to-go version of this.

» it's still hard to get windows running

If you try to start Windows 95 directly from dosbox, it will complaint about DOS version. I managed to boot with an image of Windows 95 boot diskette and started Windows 95, but I couldn't make it start. However in another forum someone posted a picture of dosbox (for Windows) running Windows 95.

Also tried to install Windows 3.11 directly from dosbox, but the installer failed in the process.

Boch lets you start Windows 95 on PSP, but it is too slow to start and the mouse is very difficult to move in that other emulator.
