Ó

cps2psp emulatorUPDATE: NJ deleted this Capcom CPS2 emulator for PSP (by NJ)">CPS2PSP Beta version from his website shortly after releasing it due to lots of bugs. While we have the CPS2 beta file here, we strongly suggest that you don't download and install it on your PSP until NJ finishes debugging it. In the meantime, read on to see what the beta version will offer...

NJ is back with something a lot of you homebrew lovers have been waiting for: the latest update of his CAPCOM CPS2 Emulator for the PSP. The CPS2PSP Beta version includes the following (pardon the online English translation):
  • Performed operation check with eLoader 0.98.
  • Used firmware 2.6/TA-082 PSP with the CPS2PSP
  • It displays the menu but freezes when loading the cache file due to memory issues.
  • Applications more than 11MB could encounter issues. Less than that is okay.
  • GTA Loader version works properly
  • Smaller games (zip files under 10MB) should run.
  • Make the same change to NGEPSP and CPS1PSP as well.
  • Applications run better with the GTA loader, and not the TIFF loader but works best with FW1.5.
We hope that helped. Man, we really need to learn the language! Anyway, any QJ reader who could help us translate NJ's Japanese readme file to perfect English will get a big, fat...thank you!

I have heard that NJ has asked all websites hosting this new Beta to delete it and take it down. Apparently, if you go to his official site, you will no longer be able to download this anymore.

i have the last version and it works great! every game is fully playable... i never had a crash or problem with it... so i dont understand why he would make websites take it down

I have problems with it... must be that your roms are patched differently from myne.. Cause marvel vs capcom is just unplayable. other fighters lag... only ones that are really playable is puzzle fighter, the old street fighter two, d&d and megaman. anyway.. it prob has some illegal files to emulate it or something.. simular to devhook's issue.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo's sound with the Beta version is screwed up, whereas with alll previous versions, it worked fine. I will stay with Test 5 until he updates again.

I would hardly call the fighting games fully playable. I'm sure hecktic means that they don't crash, sound works fine, no bad graphical glitches, etc... but the auto frameskip and slowdown make the fighters "unplayable" by most people's standards.

No disrespect to NJ. This is an overall amazing emulator.

Question: Does anyone know how to save states or take screenshots?

You can use savestates? Really?

Could you do that with the last version before this?
