Daedalus, which means "cunning worker" in Greek, was first used to refer to a labyrinth for King Minos to imprison his wife's son, Asterius, the Minotaur. The labyrinth he built had numberless winding passages and turnings opening into one another, seeming to have neither beginning nor end.
Fortunately for us, Daedalus can only be StrmnNrmn's Nintendo 64 emulator for Windows and PSP. The only thing that StrmnNrmn's Daedalus has in common with the labyrinth, is that its developments seem to have neither beginning nor end. Just recently, work on optimising the emulator's dynamic recompiler has ensued.
Giving us a taste of what we can expect from Daedalus, Captain Morgan has send in his ROM test results. In his own words:
This is Daedalus R6 Rom Test Results, all work done by me. I'm actually hoping to team up with StrmnNrmn but for now here are some of the test results on some of the n64 games that we love. I didn't include Mario 64 since I think we've all tested that one. There are more to come but that's for a later release. note I'm the first person ever to play the first mission of starfox 64 on a psp!

Daedalus was the guy who built the labyrinth wasnt he, not the actual labyrinth, sorry to nitpick, but greek mythology is really interesting to me. Great emulator btw

and for 5, youre correct Daedalus the builder, Maze of the Mynothaur is the name, and Icarus is the one that flew with feather and wax wings towards the sun and fell in the water.
Paper Mario:
Good speed (25ish FPS). Background title screen movie dosnt play (subtitles show though). Crashes when you start a new game.
when i tried to test this i cant even get to the rom screen it just freezes up. what am i doing wrong?
#8... no *****...did you read anything people said. IT crashes a lot, they are working on it.
We already know the games don't work great and have horrible frame rates. What else is new?
This is a compatability list that I created, please I have put hours of work into this don\'t be rhude. I have a later release planned with lots of more tests. Qj hasn\'t updated my files yet but when they do check it out, there\'s double the games and more!

I was able to run Mario Kart (at about 6 FPS) through all stages without freezing.
I don't have to prove anything, I just ask you be nice and Qj update the files soon. If you really want to know if it's me ask Qj to check the IP's. But for real it is me, I'm working on some more tests now so g2g.
Daedalus ... If all the stuff I am seeing is true. You will be one of the coders to be remembered. The PSP is revolutionizing gaming. You my friend are part of the revolution. Good work. Keeping doing what you do. God gave humans the unlimited energy for us to use in good ways. If you work hard you will be able to use more energy. =) Thus Creating Synergy.

HEY, what he said at the end isnt true! when daedalus released his latest R6 update, i played star fox on it! Check the newest update download and read the some of the last comments, i made two of them back to back...Im first...N64 rocks keep up the great work.
First person to play "Mission 1" of Starfox 64 on a PSP, play the first mission not the actual game.
my dump doesnt work :/ it goes blank after the screen that says "Mission 1" :(

It's rare that you can play the first Mission, there's alot to show before you can get to my last screen so good luck. The new build should be ready VERY soon.
New Build is finished, it contains 20 Rom Tests! With matching "missing_mux" with the roms. Enjoy!

I didnt have ANY trouble getting into starfox, in fact, I just beat the whole first mission!! And Im going on the seoncd one now!! Im takign frequent screenshots and will post em soon! =D
Awesome, great job, you had some luck on your side there. If you do look at older forums people couldn't get past the mission briefing until I did. And I got a guy who can beat a whole cup in mario kart!
I was in the second mission and everything was going perfect, it looked liek I could play the entire game, but I unplugged my charger cable and it froze! :x
