It seems like developer J.F. (a.k.a. Chilly Willy on the PSP Development forums) has finally rolled out the first official release version of the homebrew Mac emulator for the PlayStation Portable, Basilisk II. Moving out of its test release version, Basilisk II 1.1.0 includes a couple of changes to its non-platform specific code and makes its official debut in the homebrew community.

To be more specific, the FPU emulation of version 1.1.0 was tweaked quite a bit. In addition, this release comes with a very detailed guide on how to install and use the program on your handheld.

Here's a direct quote taken from the developer's release thread describing the new additions made to Basilisk II 1.1.0:

I made changes to the non-platform-specific code (particularly the FPU emulation), so I've bumped the version to 1.1. I'll probably make some changes and bug fixes later, so I'm calling this 1.1.0. Two main downloads for the binary and one of the source are available. The larger binary archive comes with a nice BIG guide, so I archived it with 7zip. If you don't know how to handle 7zip, google it.

Since Basilisk II now includes proper documentation, please make sure to read it before copying any files on to your PSP. Like the developer mentioned, you can download either the standalone binary file of the emulator or a version which comes with a huge manual (a 2MB PDF file). Just download the appropriate file bundle and you're all set.
