Just in case you didn't believe when we said Custom Firmware 3.95 is currently undergoing test phase, here's a little proof for you. That video embed right  there you see below is an actual video proof of the project in action.

Okay, so what do we have here so far? For one, POPs (the PSOne emulator, for you newbies out there) no longer works with Fat, most probably because of the limitations in the hardware itself or the memory. In the meantime, Select button is now the key for the Recovery console, instead of the previous R-Trigger.

Remember, this is still in progress, though, and there still is no set date as to when this exciting nifty upgrade is coming out. But we have been told it's gonna be soon. So until then, we'll be sure to keep you posted on more news.

whats the use with assinging the psone buttons for pops if support for pops has been removed.... keep up the good work.... if there isnt any memory just delete location free player thing and korean font and you'll have enough space for 1.50 addon and pops.... now it almost isnt worth to upgrade

Nobody needs to upgrade unless (good) games require it..!

What the PSP can do now is best left that way. Any new features just suck ass. Oh yeah maybe some xvid/divx/avi support would be cool, though I don't give a ***** for the format. I am an mkv/h.264 dude.

Somebody tell me what I'm missing, I feel that my PSP's firmware is complete and nothing needs to be added...

"POPs (the PSOne emulator, for you newbies out there) no longer works with Fat, most probably because of the limitations in the hardware itself or the memory"

No, it's most likely because they couldn't figure out what needed to be patched in 3.95 and how to do it properly.

The fat and slim PSPs have different POPS patches in M33, and since we see a slim PSP in this video, I'd bet they did most of their testing on a slim.

there are actually people supposedly looking forward to this??? i mean, what if i just took my current 3.90 m33-3 firmware and hacked the version number so it would say 3.95. thats pretty much the exact same thing as this.

POPS wasn't removed, the plug-in POPSLoader just isn't supported. It uses the internal 3.95 POPS.

POPS 3.95 is not working on PSP fat actually and we said that it is perhaps because of a memory limitation. Perhaps is the world we use.

Yea all tests are done first on a slim and after our shadow's dev try to transfer it on a fat... and the problems has begun :(

He will find what is wrong and solve it... wait and see. Just wait :)

I'm a tad confused. When you say POPs doesn't work on fats, does that just mean POPSloader, or POPS in its entirety?

They not really "developers" They just reserve off of the great Dark_AleX custom firmwares.

Also THIS FIRMWARE IS POINTLESS. One small update woopiefackindoo .

Have you try removing location free player, Koren Font? There you go more free space.

you'll find deleting location free and korean font wont do anything for the memory limitation.

sure you free up NAND space but the memory issue still remains.

what youve said is like saying if a game requires 512MB of RAM and you only have 256MB, all you have to do is delete 256MB off your hard drive when they're clearly talking about system RAM and not hard drive or firmware storage RAM.
