Super Mini Halo v2 Beta demo video |
Ó
Jpdeathblade has just released a video which shows his Xp Max team's work in progress: the second version of Super Mini Halo. The vid is basically a beta test of Level 11 of the homebrew game. Even though the PSP in the video has a bit of glare, we can still see how much progress they've made. Graphics are smoother now for the sprite-based side-scroller.
We're not sure when they will release the final build of Super Mini Halo v2, but Jpdeathblade says that they're aiming for a total of 50 levels to play in. He didn't mention though how far they are now. Although the video shows Level 11, that doesn't necessarily mean that that's only as far as they've accomplished. Maybe that's just the level they chose for the vid.
Regardless, Jpdeathblade promises to bring us more updates as well as more videos in the future. We'll keep you posted as soon as they drop in.

no gravity is one of the best homebrew games ever graphics wise, so don't hold the rest to that standard lol.

Mario, Halo, The Matrix, Twisted Metal ... Who knows what else they used and I just didn't notice because I didn't care any more.

Yes this is a mod of SMM, I never said I made the game and in the readme.txt file all people are credited. The sprites were changed from the mario ones, and some (like the trees) dont really need to be. Each level is desigend for SMH and SMH only, they will look all screwy on other versions of the game. I dont take credit for the coding of the game, nor the music and stuff that you hear, I just want to make levels and keep the scene alive. Last time I checked theres like 4 things that keep people alive, like Xflash, Custom FW's, Menu Edits, and some emulators.
I still plan to finish the game, and if you dont want to play then dont. 4 less people playing wont effect the game...

I think its great that you are making 50 levels for it. I liked the SMM game, and more levels is just what i need to continue playing it.

The gameplay still looks fairly fun, so I may give it a try anyway. That is if you ever release it to the public.

1) When is this going to be released?
There are 3 version of the game out now, SMH Beta (or version 1), SMH Alpha (version 1.5), and the Xmas version we made for Xmas. Just look it up here, they have Alpha and Xmas up for download.
2) Can I beta Test?
Maybe it all depends on alot of things, more on that later
3) Why level 11?
Well the last version gave you 10 levels so we wanted you to see the next one in the line. We didnt want you to beat level 10 then see level 25 on the internet and mess you up.
4) Only 11?
There are alot more then 11 levels done atm, We actually have a timeline for the levels, if we get 50 before the end we might even make more.
5) Holiday Versions?
With the Xmas one out we were thinking of a Halloween one. Idk about any others....maybe sometime in april
6) This game is nothing like halo, why?
Well then your eyes are working. It wasnt suppost to be halo, want suppost to be a fps, It was made bc I enjoy working on it and Its addicting to play. This is a mod of SUPER MINI MARIO (...MARIO...). If you want Halo buy an xbox.

Now one of my "loving" fans said I used cool things to become popular bc I have master cheif and a twisted metal song and the matix thing. Well Im no traying to be popular, the twisted metal thing was actualy a place holder till i could make my own and it just stuck. I picked halo bc there wasnt anything halo based at the time i made it (the games a year old i just never really did anything with it untill resently). The matrix thing was the coolest non Resistance fall of man thing i could find, bc everyones got the blood one now-a-days...
PS: the last two posters look to be the same guy...Probley in his moms basement. Hey Inatropic2 both hands on the keyboard...
