Since when did StrmnNrmn do Get a Mac ads? Well, his latest blog update is all about compiling Daedalus PSP on Mac OS X, and if there's one thing that you should know, it's that he's been able to speed up his process in coding everyone's favorite Nintendo 64 emulator. With a quick conclusion, StrmnNrmn has what it takes to boot out Justin Long from his role as the Mac guy:
Daedalus PSP compiles perfectly under OSX. On my 2.4 GHz Macbook Pro it takes just under 50 seconds. On my 2.4GHz Windows machine it takes over 2 minutes to compile, so I'm very impressed with the results.
Talk about free promotion for Mac. But moving on, StrmnNrmn's kept true to his word the other day about posting a very detailed - a very, very, very detailed - tutorial on how to compile Daedalus on Mac OS X. This will also help other homebrew developers in general since a large portion of the how-to revolves around setting up the PSPSDK on a Mac.
As we've stressed, the post is highly detailed since it tackles the many nuances and obstacles that you might/will encounter while trying to set up your homebrewing space on the Mac system. Well, the overall time it takes him to work on the emulator hasn't changed, as if it used to take him 2mins, and it only takes him 1mins now...add the time it takes for him to brag every time he compiles another build and it actually takes longer for the whole process on his Mac.... More time working, less time telling us about your Mac ;)

Is just very sad that the majority of developers of PSP scene use piece of shyt m$$. Everyone should change to LINUX ASAP. In fact every PSP website should have strict quidelines in developing homebrew. And it should be only under Linux/Mac/*nix.

macs are so terrible, the word will never be capitalized by me. macs suck. The only reason anyone would need a mac is if they knew nothing about computers, and never want to learn. The only way they can sell macs is by making software to emulate Windows. "Oh look, I can run Windows on my mac!" There are no good games out for the mac, either. What a terrible OS.

Yea I use dual boot too because I use Windows to game and Linux to practice programming.
I'm getting a bit tired of StrnmNrmn's gloating. What was he doing programming Daedalus in Windows anyway? Daedalus will obviously compile faster in Mac since its native UNIX...
I perfer Vista it is very secure. And Linux doesn't work on some computers...it will eventually but you need to know how linux works. I tired Ubuntu, Fedora Core, and FreeSpire. All had problems with my drivers and my comp was from 2002. So my conclusion is Vista is easier to use than Linux. :/

well no *****.... of course his core 2 duo compoiled faster than his NON DUAL CORE pc... it makes perfect sense. As for the mac bashing... who cares its just another OS. I prefer windows simply for the fact that it has the better 3d Modelling tools as well as the games i create content for...
Now on the mac side of things... Sure they compile code faster... hmm i WONDER WHY. its based a friggin unix. Not to mention they are so much easier to setup. But theres the lack of support in the games.
Now onto developers for games... alot of them use pc's because you can get more 3d modelling packages... (3dsmax, maya, xsi, Modo, Zbrush, Mudbox)some of those are for mac too but its the convenience of making a model then using it in game right away... Same thing goes for photoshop. Why would a person spend 3 thousand for a mac when they can build a computer thats almost top of the line for 900 dollars?
