Sony Development Kit - A drop in the bucket |
Ó

This is probably a good move on Sony's part. We can all agree that there have not been many new games being released for the system, however as we all know Sony has also had problems with "hackers" unlocking the PSP in order to "play games that they do not own". Hopefully this does not offset the flood of developers that Sony is hoping for. To date over 5,400 PSP development kits have been shipped to developers.

I don't believe Sony is ONLY worried about hackers playing games "they do not own" Sony is worried about hackers hacking PSP period. Let's not try to suger coat it.
im tired of people *hinting* that psp has all these people using it to play games they dont own.....they make it seem like the psp is the only console/handheld
that has a "pirating" scene.....truth is most of every console and handhelds can be used to play pirated games.....from psx,ps2,xbox,gb a and more too come....i dont like how the psp always get the brunt of all the finger pointing....EVERYBODY needs to stop pointin out the fact that psp has a "dark" side....cuz if its too offen talked about then developers will be more heistant....plus i love the psp and i dont want it to die or even get more worst firmware release just cuz people can't keep their mouth shut.
I wouldnt even OWN a psp at all had I not heard about its ability to run emulators.
thats all I have to say about it
agree'd, never cared for the HW specs. Battery life is *****. But I could easily look past that if it ment axx to some portable classics.
Disappointed in the lack of a decent Mame to this day tho...
Hell yea its only $4,200!! Im telling my parents to get me one for my b-day. Any1 want one?
Yah, here! It's a bargain - only 4.2k$ :)
That difference in price is nothing to a game developer.
