Rumor: Ruka part of Snes9xTYLsmcm development team - Image 1As the readers will recall, we earlier reported on the release of a new build of the Snes9xTYLsmcm SNES emulator for the PSP. While this was certainly good news for the community, one piece of information that proved elusive regarding the project was the identity of its Japanese dev team.

According to a recent rumor in circulation, at least one member of this group may actually be Ruka. In case you weren't around back then, Ruka was the coder who released SNES9xTYL++, a variant of the SnesTYL9x project originally created by YoyoFR and Laxer3a.

The validity of this rumor is still pretty unclear, so we advise the readers to keep on the lookout in case we run into any related updates. Regardless, we tip our hats to the guys who've decided to continually polish up this emulation project for the PSP.

nice

That helps explains part of the speed boost, great work guys! Is he still working on gPSP or is 0.9 the final version?

Don't get confused.

Ruka has nothing to do with gPSP, it is Exophase's emulator. But yeah I agree about the speed, it makes sense seeing "Ruka in the dev team".

sorry

I just saw exophase's reply in the Daedelous news story and realized my goof-up on the gPSP author, my mistake!
