PSP Sudoku Beta Release |
Ó
Sudoku's quite a popular game for the PSP - just try searching through the site and you'll see coverage of quite a few Sudoku games, written by different people to boot. Now Bruce Perkins a.k.a. EvilDooinz has jumped on the PSP-Sudoku bandwagon by coming up with and releasing a beta release of a Sudoku game of his very own for both 1.5 and 2.6-firmware PSPs. As it stands right now, his includes only one puzzle and one theme.
Features of this Sudoku game include a clean GUI and easy controls. EvilDooinz has a 'todo' list for the game; future releases will feature more puzzles and themes; sounds, hints; time status; score system; and a high-score board as well.

o right!!
As advanced Sudoku players know, you hardly can't get around "pencilling in" possibles with very difficult sudokus. I haven't seen one that supports this feature on the PSP.
Sudoku by Chau Le has that feature. Get the v2.0 version, though, not v1.0.
Anyway good job on this game. Looks nice.
nice nice, I love this game.
not to bash the guy that made this or anything...but it only works on 1.5 to 2.6 firmware. for one...anyone with half a brain with 2.6 firmware would downgrade to 1.5. once they figure that out, there is already a sudoku game made specifically for the psp...go! sudoku. unlike the one level this homebrew has, go! sudoku has hundreeds of levels with the posibility to change music, backgrounds, change dificulty and save game. it works like a champ with the new devhook. i recommend skipping this homebrew and going for the real thing.
oh yeah...and number 2...yes you can pencil in with go! sudoku
GOOD JOB!
Go! Sudoku for the PSP allows you to mark in a possible number into the grid without commiting to it, allowing you to alter it when needed. It's smaller than the usualy numbers so it's easy to spot your guessed possibles.
I had somwhere between 60 to 75 percent of the puzzle completed when the "Winner Game Over" screen flashed. I'd push x or start and it would return to the game for a second then back to the Winner screen.
Otherwise, it's a cool app. Complete 2.6 hack seems to be just around the corner, so I'll wait 'til then rather than downgrade for a Sudoku game with hundreds of puzzles.
Great game.
Needs more puzzles but since thats coming in a later version this is still a pretty nice beta. Gonna need more features though in the final release.
