RPGs may be the next trend in PSP homebrew. RPGs have always been challenging to develop on the platform, but just this month, two games have already been announced to be in development. Now another one has been revealed by developer Xeoka.

The previous RPG games that were announced are Moovlin RPG Episode 1 from jfig111, and Mage Quest from Soulless. This new RPG game, whose graphic styles remind us a bit of Ragnarok, is titled Quinta Essentia.

The game is being coded in C++, and has been in development since 2007. No release date has been announced yet, but we're keeping our eye on this ambitious project. Here are other details on the game:

Features:
  • Original music
  • Original graphics
  • Unique storyline
  • Full RPG experience!
  • Everything is original
The members of the development team are:
  • NekoGráfico [ Lead Programmer ]
  • DimensionT [ Composer ]
  • Paikudesu [ Art Director ]
  • Geralz [ Writer ]
  • Fran89 AKA fjh89 [ Aux Programmer ]
Some of the tracks that will be included in the game are also available for download. You can grab them by visiting our forums (linked below). Here are a couple of screenshots from the game as well (no spoilers, don't worry):
