New custom firmware team on the block: Team AoP |

Tipster anymanous called our attention to what may be the rise of a new custom firmware major player. The new team, called Team AoP, has announced that they will be creating their own 3.52 CFW at PSPCrazy.
The members of the team are the following: Yanko693, Nephron, Wetwili357. The team promises that their firmware will be based on users' suggested features which includes a sleek XMB, password protection on start up that can be turned on and off via the recovery menu (memory stick required), an "easy make" Pandora's Battery option, and usage of XMBs, gameboots, fonts, and others without flashing.
Here's what Team AoP had to say:
We are trying to be unique by created a custom XMB that would be installed while flashing the 3.52 AoP Firmware. Also we are trying to incorporate the ideas of fellow PSP usersÂ’ ideas to create useful application to add to our firmware to make it stand out. Right now, we are trying to finish the flasher and the rest is just beta testing.
Looks like another team is going to give M33 and the other teams a run for their money. Let's wait for further news on this, as according to the announcement, Team AoP's 3.52 CFW will go public "within the next week".

He means its nothing but just password protected and change around the recovery mode its useless

I'll believe it when I see it. Join the line of teams promising a custom firmware. So far only the ruskies have come through for us. I welcome any other efforts, I just haven't seen anyone else come through with anything.
I'm sure it makes it a bit more difficult to have cooperation in other "teams" when they can't trust the areas they get together in to collaborate. aka: the leak probably did _much_ more harm then good.
I mean seriously, is M33, the only CFW thats gonna be on the PSP SLIM!
There's still more people using the grand 'ol' almighty PSP-1000. Maybe in the future there will be more Slim CFW's. And also just to remind you: it might be like happened with the normal PSP: Dark_Alex conquered it first by making OE firmwares, so everyone respected him and did not make competitors. Maybe this is the case with PSP Slim too, this time just M33 being DAX. Just my guess. But on-topic, great to see a new CFW maker rising. There can never be too much makers! And this proves us that we will be getting new features and stuff soon, since the other CFW makers have to get cool new features to keep people satisfied with it. Man, I'm still waiting for 3.52*/3.71* Wildc*rd firmware
New recovery menu, and CXMB built in? That's it? It's just an m33 patch.

its not really good for alot of cfw teams. if this team turns out to be good then maybe someone of team m33 donaters will donate to this team. and they still might not get enough for their projects. so they both would have to go down.
These people are gonna piss off many more people than they will appeal to. Since the OE source code leak, mystery firmware releases are extremely shady.. I wouldnt touch them with a 10 foot pole and I have a Pandora's Battery.
i hope the built in cxmb won't be on all the time because i use different memory sticks a lot and i don't want to have to put a theme on all of them.

I have trouble being amazed. This looks an awful lot like a bit of hex editing , and a few prx changed. Ohhh wow and a password which is negated by recovery. Any one who would steal a psp would know about recovery. I Don't know, but this seems to me the reason why the true grates left. Because people take their work slap a theme on it and shazam heres a new "CFW team on the block".

this might hopefully spur m33 on to make their next cfw(come on 3.71!). i believe this because they will hopefully try and eliminate aop by making peope think, o well i have a choice of 3.52 again or a brand new 3.71. it aint a hard choice.
Its clear that pspcrazy are a bunch of 15 year old kids attempting to run a professional site like QJ. These wannabe coders simply rip other peoples code, like PSPCrazy rips other sites (QJ's) news articles. This "custom firmware" is pspcrazys attempt at trying to act like the have accomplished something, when the truth is, none of the respectable coders go near the place... The "coders" even have the cheek to remove their screenshots and post a comment telling people to go to pspcrazy to get a slightly modified version of their firmware screenshot, which was most likely done using a warez copy of Photoshop. Lets wait for Team m33 to send these kids back to their beds, as pspcrazy might as well just release their "custom firmware" as a theme pack using ripped images, as thats all it is.
pointless these things they boast about are already available as plugins for oe/m33 new cfw....nah, new fakers...why do 3.52? if you could do a proper cfw then do 3.71

I say give them a chance. It's kinda cool that we have Different CFW's to choose from. Each having different options. Im supporting Team AoP all the Way.
What I like about this firmware is the easy Pandora battery maker. But that could easily be made into a plugin for M33 custom firmware.
