GripShift suddenly popular in eBay over exploit |

If you want some cash, go on eBay and sell your copy of GripShift. The PSP scene's getting stir-crazy over the exploit found in GripShift. eBay listings for the game are getting craaaazy bids. There's one listing that already received a bid for US$ 99.99.
The whole craziness started when MaTiAz found a buffer overflow vulnerability in the game only a few days ago. It wasn't long before he and FreePlay released a Hello World version of the exploit. The whole thing reminds me of how Wiibrew first started. I expect we'll be seeing great things happening soon.

Bound to happen, just hope no desperate fool pays those idiots selling it at crazy prices.
It's just an exploit that hasn't been fully exploited (if it can be) yet. It's not a way of putting CFW on a PSP. I don't see why people are flocking to it like it's Lumines or GTA:LCS.

I wanted to sell a copy to help pay for college expenses... it's just that Gripshift was a mediocre game, with mediocre sales. It's bloody hard to find.
i need quick answer. Does the exploit work on european Gripshift and/or european PSP-3000?
Does the US gripshift work on european PSP-3000?
Or is there any way I can downgrade an european PSP-3000??
We've seen it before with GTA and Lumines so this was bound to happen. By now the price is probably jacked up at GameStop.

The exploit doesn't work on the European version of Gripshift.
The US Gripshift should and probably will work on European PSP-3000 since there isn't any region lock codes.
Right now, theres no way to downgrade the PSP-3000 at all (all regions). And I don't think there will be a reason since the downgrading was used to get to version 1.50 which could allow you to install CFW.
i wish i had a copy of that game before this exploit stuff came into play. it'd be at least $70 richer '~'

There are a lot of games out there for the PSP that are ready to be exploited.
So get one later or now and sell it.

I played it a couple of times and never again. Too bad I don't have a PSP 3000 though. I might list it on ebay or something. $$$$$$$
I sold 2 UK versions for £35 by just selling them as Gripshift and not answering any questions, brought them for around £10 a week ago.
does every game that gets exploited a game with low sales?
( i.e lumines, gripshift but not GTA).
When the 3.50 came out, i went to get a copy and found out that in my country it was sold for $179.82.
Now it isn't worth anything since pandora came out.
Now prices are going to skyrocket again
i got it at gamestop like 4 days ago for US $7. ill show the receipt if anyone wants to see it ;)

You mean how PSP homebrew got started? lol GTA:LCS was used to downgrade 2.6 firmware years before the Wii came out. Then before that was a tiff exploit to downgrade 2.0 fw. Old ways coming back and cracking new things. How about that? :)
GTA and Lumines were the same. Originally they didn't have kernel access only user access. But despite this their sales sky rocketed. Amazon figures were most startling, I think Lumines was something like 3000% up on sales lol. Eventually a kernel exploit was found for the two GTA exploits and the Lumines exploit. Based on that history there is a good chance we'll get the same with Gripshift.
I haven't seen the sales figures. But regardless of them Lumines is an awesome game. Because it isn't your typical action game most people don't give it a chance. It is one of the best games on the PSP.
Thats what was great about GTA and Lumines. You were getting an exploit on two of the best games on the PSP. Luckily for me I had both of those titles before the exploits were found :)
WTF 100$ on Ebay, thank good I live in Germany! Bought 6 coppies off some website for 15€ each (NEW), put them on ebay for 50€ each sold all coppies in 1 day. HAHA I´m getting me a PS3 B*****S!
I cleared out Orlando for 10 copies, got $500 for em. Go me! :)
