Gmax2PSP v6 |
Ó
It's been quite a while now since we last posted anything about Alatnet's Gmax2PSP app. Well, today he came out with a new version of Gmax2PSP, bumping it up to version 6. Here's what Alatnet has to say about how this update came about:After a while of working on my Ultimate Battle MMO game, I came to a small snag... While wracking my brain on the physics engine, I thought about working on Gmax2PSP and figured that the old versions of Gmax2PSP were grossly ineffecient and decided to recode it. Now it seems to work a bit better and is a lot smaller than the previous versions.
That's some really good news for all Gmax2PSP users out there. Here's the changelog for version 6:
- Completely redesigned.
- Reformatted the code.
- Disabled CC++ exporting (temporary).
- Now is able to export normals (Needs actual testing to see if the exported normals actually work right).
- Able to preview the format of the vertex before exporting.

what is this exactly? i see that it says MMO so massive multiplayer online ..... (damn all those first posters that say "omg first post!" coz they are gay.)
Dude, you need to read the whole bit, and you will understand that the MMO is one of his projects that he was working on, but abruptly became bored of coding the physics engine (I know these things being a coder myself, physics engines are a PAIN). So, in turn, he decided to recode Gmax2PSP (tis a tool...). Read young one... and many pleasures will benefit you... peace
Yeah, but what IS it? It's a terrible write up, does it interface with his MMO? Is it a physics engine for the psp that he also codes for his MMO? Does Gmax2PSP have something to do with Gmail, seeing as how the name is kinda similar? Seriously, pardon my ignorance, and it's always good to see someone improving upon their old work, but the write up leaves me COMPLETELY in the dark as to what the hell the program is. Good job Qj.
Its a gmax converter. basically any 3d scene you create in gmax can be converted into lua format. That includes camera placement. Very handy app.
Thank you Kleptoone :).
please make this for 3ds max , the big brother of gmax
