Broken

It was because of Fate's twisted sense of humor that Devun_06 from our forums released the source code for an almost finished XT1-OS. According to his post, he pulled out his PSP during the halfway point of a very popular TV program that stars Sarah Jessica Parker. I'm not entirely sure what he meant by that, but the thick of the matter is, the screen of his PSP broke and is now rendered useless.

This what he had to say:

Because of the fate of my psp, I've decided to release the source to my XT1-OS *WHERE IT STANDS*.

As far as I've gotten is:
Nice 93% free skinning.*requires editing*
mp3
text viewer
directory (start, & folder support)
windowing (prioritized and small+fullscreen support)
time, date, & battery
custom color support for theming
and a whole lot of options
*yeah, it sounds to good to be true, but I was only trying to make the ULTIMATE PSP GUI

I'll watch any progress this makes... if any.
if you need the themes it's tested on... pm me.

» Get A New Screen

If your screen is broken just go to ebay or amazon and buy a new one. There quite cheep and easy to install but i think you will loose you warrenty when installing it.

» swap

i swapped my nano for some guys psp with smashed screen; theres a seller on ebay called gameconsolehk; who sells the replacement sharp screens brand new with backlight for £10 +£20 shipping and handling from HK to UK... he even sent it as a gift to avoid import tax... i would recommend him

» The Show

I ran a wikipedia search on Sarah Jessica Parker. Here is the 2nd line on the page:

"She may be best known for her role as newspaper relationship columnist Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO television series Sex and the City."

Well, now we know what he was watching. Thus, I figure that no one should watch Sex and the City on their PSP, as it leads to bricking. In fact, no one should watch that show on any device ever. And no, this is not leading to a downgrader/exploit/hack.

» tmk????

hey maybe you could ask, The MarioKarters, to sell you his screen from one of his bricked psp's. I know he's trying to raise cash to get a new one. he might do it. just ask him.

» its not completely useless

the same thing happened to my psp. in fact, it looked exactly the same. what i did is i bought another screen off of ebay and installed it myself. its not that hard to install and it works great.

» I think what he means...

is that he was watching Sex and the City with his girlfriend, and when she saw him get out his PSP, she got pissed and broke it.
