Zelda XMB theme

This ain't the Zelda XMB pack, just Link. - Image 1Presuming you're a Zelda fan (symptom: maybe you have this homebrew demo in your Memory Stick), and you want the front end of your PSP to reflect that appreciation, this is where unknownwarrior33 comes in. This Legend of Zelda XMB theme pack includes the icons, bootsound, font, and battery icons.

Hey, if Gears of War gets an XMB theme... just call it cross-pollination. Seems like some people want their favorite game on the PSP front end. Next thing you know, we get an XMB theme about a girl who loves to drill...

(Important reminder for 3.10OE users: you can't use the topmenu_plugin file)

bricking isnt the big deal it used to be anymore. I know this isnt a bad thing but i sometimes wish people didnt throw it around as much. Some people really DID brick their psps and they cant get it fixed.

First off, I'm unknownwarrior33; I don't remember why I have a different username for the forums and for the main site, but check out the second post by unknownwarrior33 in the forum thread about this theme for proof that I'm the same guy if you need it.

Anyway, based on comments here and on the forum, I posted a new version of the theme on the forum (in the same thread). The changes:

-Included a screenshot taken by forum member MaQ (which you can also see in the forum thread)

-Included multiple backgrounds (now there's a choice)

-Included both a coldboot.vag and an opening_plugin.rco for the bootsound (different flashing methods require different files)

-Made sure I included the right set of XMB sounds (you shouldn't be hearing the mario coin sound; the real XMB sound set is all menu sounds from Ocarina of Time except for one, which is the rupee-collect sound from A Link to the Past)

If you don't feel like going to the forums, here's a link:

I wonder why a random XMB theme got a news article?

"Oh wow! Amazing! A zelda! (in italics) for the PSP (italics)!"

"MAKE A ARTICLE NOW!"

» morons.

Look, download SNES9XTYL, then a ROM of Link to the Past, then follow these instructions:

1.Copy the files to your PSP

2.Load SNES9XTYL

3.Play Zelda

4.Erm... Thats it.

After you've done that, you'll see why people like zelda.

how do you get the xmb on your psp i don't get it, i don't know what a recovery menu is nor do i know what an advanced one is, don't treat me like a n00b cause i'm not i've done many things with my psp i've just never used XMBs before...PLZ HELP

by satana - 2007-03-20 10:33
» u r a n00b.

the XMB (cross menu bar) is the cool menu you see directly after the SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT logo in the beginning. The recovery menu is what u get if you have custom firmware installed (OE-A---C), and there is no ADVANCED recovery menu

peace and PSP.
