As always, users have the option choose between the lite and full versions. XviD4PSP supports various file formats for importing and exporting videos for the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, iPod, BlackBerry, and PC. Changes pertinent to this release include:
  • Many components updated (x264, FFMPEG, ...).
  • Added auto temp folder selection (auto set to max free space drive).
  • Added output to MKV, AVI, MPEG-PS, MPEG-TS.
  • Added Copy for video stream.
  • Added Copy and Disabled for audio stream.
  • Few tweaks in log info.
  • Added MKV Info tool.
  • Added FFMPEG Info tool.
  • Added MP4BOX Info tool.
  • Added MP4 iPod Touch format. Added, tested and tweaked to max quality. (Thanks to Bas >> .. basn)
  • Added and tweaked to max quality many new profiles for iPhone.
  • Added import M2TS. Work on export, but no luck for now. AVI, MPEG-PS, MPEG-PS added as containers for remuxing. Codecs for this formats will be added in next version (XviD, MP3, MP2, MPEG2, AC3).
  • Also hope will have time for adding subs extraction to next version.
Before using XviD4PSP on your PC, take note that you will need to install first Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 first.

» 1st?

my apologies, but I'm being rather lazy right now...

I was wondering, does this thing play DivX AVIs? Or just generic AVIs? Also, I'm probably being REALLY nooby here, but by "component" updates, is that a reference to component cables? Or is it components as in "modules".

I'm about 80% sure that it's referring to the latter, but maybe someone can tell me? I don't have cables (neither composite nor component), so I can't test it myself even if I wasn't being lazy.

» How about using Google... faster than typing out a comment.

It's a converter for PMP AVC, PSP MP4, PS3/Xbox 360 MP4, various cell phones, and the iPod and iPhone. Very customizable, very excellent.

I recommend v4.115 though.
