Thanks to Zapla, we just found out that Winnydows made another revision to XviD4PSP. Now known as XviD4PSP 4.049 RC4, the app has a lot of changes and updates, as well as some additional tests that need to be done to refine the program.What we like about this video conversion software is actually related to how Winnydows updates it. There's a new build almost every week, and whenever there's a new achievement, we can't help but smile at the declarations of "small revolutions" to the application.
Here are the list of changes and additions, with some edits for clarity. If you'll note some of the changes here, Winnydows is also asking for help in checking for bugs, so you'd do well to send him an email if you're using this version and encounter something unexpected. - Small revolution - DVR-MS files (Media Center) now synced!!!
- Small revolution - VOB files decoded over DirectShowSource now synced too!!!
- AVI files with 120 fps now synced too!!!
- Added new option - Convert FPS. If some files get desynced, try turning on this option.
- Small aspect and resolution fixes.
- ATOMChanger updated to new version.
- Now formats MP4 PSP and MP4 PSP 480 support 23.976, 24.000, 25.000 fps framerates!!!
- Enhanced compatibility of large files and MP4 PSP 480.
- Filtered and sorted x264 presets.
- I compiled mencoder myself.
- Mencoder updated to version 21957.
- DGIndex updated to 1.4.9 beta 10.
- Added CPU Tester to Menu Tools. Help me know if there needs to be special patch or not for your CPU.
- Now subtitles must be synced if framerate changed too.
- Now for VOBs decoded over directshow: always used convertfps=true.
Update:
Well that was fast! It's now XviD4PSP 4.049 RC6! This update has three new things in store for users, so you guys may want to pick it up. As for the next revision, we'll just have to wait and see.
- Audio bitrates now in DropDown list.
- x264 updated to 619.
- Added new output format MP4 PS3.

Yet another excellent release! Apart from when I try and load a DVR-MS file I get...

i already got ffdshow and sp2 installed, and i cant even use this cus framework 3.0 crashes during installation everytime. anyone else having this problem?
Same here never worked once.
ps3 plays only sound, does not play video for converted videos w/ ps3 option. PS3 seems to be very sensitive
to the mp4 avc header. See

any other good encoders than this? i still can't get it to work because 3.0 framework is the only one that won't install.
guess what? it doesn't work. And nothing else this guy codes does.
For some odd reason this just wont work. I installed .Net 3.0 redist. but it keeps crashing.
Thanks for looking at the comments QJ....when you made the RC4 post i was one of the first comments stating that RC6 was out before you even posted RC4 so yea, thanks for the delay
I also cannot run this even after installing SP2, .Net Framework 3.0, and ffdshow.
Try to install .NET Framework 1.0 upgrade to 1.1 after this install 3.0
Before Installation:
Minimal system requirements:
Windows Vista or
Windows XP SP2 + Microsoft Framework 3.0
ffdshow build by clsid
DirectX 9.0c december (only for 3D GPU)
Real Alternative 1.51 - install this codec if will encode .rm or .rmvb files.
QuickTime Alternative 1.76 - install this codec if will encode .mov, .qt, .3gp or .hdmov files.
Program may work bad, if you have codec-pack installed. Install ffdshow only.
Program conflict with Outpost Firewall.
Initiate Installing this

Upgrade
