xmbPackager by kgsws - Image 1

PSP homebrew developer, Aythamie, has recently released an update to the nifty application coded by kgsws, xmbPackager. He mentions that he doesn't take any credit for the making or the translation of this program, he just lend a helping hand on this one. Anyhow, what he did is fixed some of the Icons and Names. Here's the changelog to fill you in on what's new with this app, this time around:

Changes for  v0.3: (by Aythamie)
  • Fixed the fw 3.03 icons: RSS Channel Settings, Camera, Certificate Utility, Remote Play and Online Instruction Manuals.
  • Fixed the English names for the new icons.
  • Fixed the Dutch names for the new Icons.
  • Added some more Icon Sets. (30 Icon sets totally now)
Now, if you're not familiar with this one, fret not, we'll refresh your memory. This app was actually made by developer, kgsws and was first featured here a few weeks ago. From the name of the app alone, you will know that the application allows you to change icons on our PSP's XMB. Now that the trip down memory lane is over, we suggest you read the readme file, translated by CaliFrag,  that comes with the download below.

Thanks to PuNiSHErA for the tip!

thank you! the original of this bugged me with no 3.03 icons.

however I noticed that the icons that have been fixed, they do not have the glow "halo" around them like all the original icons do. any idea's why?

» i want proper icons

the "fixed" icons arent fixed, its just now the same as the topmenu generator for those rough non-glowing sub icons. Is there any way to fix it to have PROPER working sub icons with custom icons.

» Icon's

The fixed icons were taken from zmathue's add-on to kgsws' program (and quite distastefully as evident that the readme doesn't credit him for it). You can recognize that messed up RSS settings icon anywhere it was a problem on the earlier builds which zmathue published on this thread (look at the last ten or so pages...):

http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-hacks-9/t-xmb-icon-hacking-77877/page98.html

Anyway the updated package with a slightly less messed up RSS settings icon is on page 100, check zmathue's first post on that page for the link and follow the instructions in the readme.

» re: i want proper icons

No we can't fix this because how I fixed the icons was by replacing the shadows of the 6 origional icons so I cant add there shadows/glow without replacing other icons shadow/glow
