XMBEditor v3 for CFW 4.01 M33 - Image 1

Looking to add a personal touch to your PSP's XMB browser? Look no further, as Mr_Shizzy announces the release of XMBeditor v.3. For the guys who weren't around before, this application is a PSP based homebrew program that enables you customize your PSP's XMB settings.

V.3 in particular is compatible with custom PSP firmware 4.01 M33. It can now also play video/sound previews of gameboots. Here's the rest of the changelog (quoting the readme):
  • now for 4.01 M33
  • added EULA
  • usb menu (Toggle Mem stick, Flash 0-1-2-3))
  • overclocked for faster flashing
  • added support for all the new 401 rco files
  • now uses luaHM7
  • can now rename themes using SONY's osk
  • can now rename MODS using SONY's osk
  • added powertick (to prevent auto sleep mode while using Program)
  • updated all prx offsets in prx editor for 4.01
  • Added security to prevent unsafe hex jobs
  • Can now play video/sound preview of gameboots
  • Can Now remove/restore gameboot logo
  • Minor bug fixes
Mr_Shizzy further notes that you will need to rename a blank text file as "test.file" (without the quotes) and place it in the PSP/GAME/XMBeditor/applications/XMBeditor/data folder to enable this application to work. Further details on installing and using XMBeditor are available in the file bundle's readme. Enjoy the download, and be sure to contact Mr. Shizzy if you're interested in sending your feedback.

» Thanks

I've been waiting for this update

As a PSP programmer and owner of a PSP almost 3 years, I can say it's the best customizing hombrew to the PSP.

» Gone not forgotten

Apparently due to this unstable release, the author is questioning his focus in life.

as per Mr. Shinny....

"I'm considering a few things right now.

1) Possibly discontinuing this project to begin a project that supports CTF themes

2) Continuing this project, but dropping PHAT support

3) Continuing this project for PHAT & SLIM PSP models

It all depends what everybody wants really. There are ups and downs to both sides of the fence."...

..."BTW - i have removed the download, and IF this project continues, a stable release will be made at that time..."

» try v3.5

yeah, this little gadget bricked my psp as well - apparently it's "missing" files or they are there and it "cannot find" them. i'm considering downgrading to 3.90 m33-2 and using XMB v2, that one was perfect.
