X5 Anniversary Edition

For those who've gotten used to the Mac interface on just about everything, KaotiK DesignZ has come up with a new version of the beloved X5. For those who haven't heard of it, the X5 site calls it the world's "best, easiest, and only perfect sourced Mac OS X styled portal for use on your Sony PSP™." Their previous version had a lot of features, which are definitely going to be in this new version, but they've highlighted the general features of X5 Anniversary Edition for potential users:
  • "Aqua" and "Dark Aqua" look.
  • Contains 10 applications including "Address Book", and "System Preferences".
  • Custom user desktop pictures.
  • Exclusive online media downloads.
  • Over 65 links ranging from "Email", to "Travel".
  • Standard 12 hour digital clock.
  • Sony PSP™ (PlayStation® Portable) exclusive.
  • Zero error source code.

Like it or not, you have to admit that it looks cool on a PSP, at the very least. Here are screenies courtesy of Kaotik DesignZ.

» this crap is gay

man this portal sucks try converting it to flash or somthing html is out dated. it takes way to long to load in between pages and theres really no useful apps. this would be a decent portal if made with flash.

» This is garbage

Unless you have wifi access (witch not everyone does) this is completely pointless. They could have at least added a few games or something... I couldnt even update the address book on it or anything.

» a little linkage?

ok, this looks very cool, but it seems there is no documentation on how to link this to your own network. at the moment, it does seem to be useless with a ton of potential. if anybody finds a way to get this ***** connected to files they want, please leave a little info here. believe me, i have searched the forums, and there is no info out there. good effort so far though.

» wow.

hmm, all the documentation and instructions for use link to the absolutely worthless webpage. it looks like this does nothing, and is essentially a series of html screenshots and links. anybody having any luck with this?

» my conclusion

lol it looks kewl but doesn't do anything!!

you can't add ur own addresses you can't add your own pictures to iphoto, movies to quicktime,or music to itunes.

the only thing that works is safari but ur in the webbrowser anyway and its a bigger screen so there is no point in searching with safari. mate face it , it looks kewl but its pointless! make it in flash so we can use the features of a mac not like screenshots of a mac.
