X-Flash v9h - Small Update |
Ó

Art from our forums has released a new version of his X-Flash homebrew firmware flashing application for the PSP. X-flash is a firmware modification tool that flashes your PSP to accomplish a variety of changes to the PSP's system firmware, and so should only be used by those that know what they are doing. Negligent use of this application could result in the bricking of your PSP, so be careful.
This X-Flash version has a new debranded gameboot intro screen feature, so the PSP logo is not shown on the screen over your gameboot movie. Version 9h is a very small update which removes a false verify warning that occurred in two function after
multiple uses in one session. Art has stated that this is to be the last installment of his X-flash program unless any new firmware hacks are found. You can do pretty much anything with your firmware on this version!
X-Flash is a specialist firmware modification tool which flashes the PSP, so use at your own risk! Although this program has been verified to be safe on all of Art's PSP units, if you do not know what you are doing there is still a chance of bricking your PSP. Always read the readme like a book!
NOTE: As will all firmware modification tools, this will only work on PSPs running firmware version 1.5.

First!!!!!! yeh like anyone gives a 5H1T3
"NOTE: As will all firmware modification tools, this will only work on PSPs running firmware version 1.5."
Doesnt it work on 1.00?
ive wanted to remove that PSP logo for a while for a few gameboots, cant wait to use thsi! another great release by Art!
yeah i really wanna flash stuff to my psp but its 2.6 so i was wondering if there is anyone who is selling a 1.5 cheap cause im not rich enough to buy modchip.
ur psp is now officially bricked
#2 - your psp has been bricked
its perty much useless now.
sux to be you.
a cheap 1.5 is about 175. sorry
275*
i am thinking dollars
wise man once said: "if you try to make something idiot-proof, someone will just make a better idiot"
Cool little app.
Great work but I would just make sure that you FULLY UNDERSTAND this before using.
To #2. If your PSP is bricked then you will have to get a U.P modchip.
Does anyone no if you can "repair" your bricked flash so you can run two firmwares with U.P or just have the modchips flash???
my brother bricked his psp and he just sent it into sony and they gave him another one for free. but #2 if it is still under warranty then call them up and get a 2.71 psp, the only problem with sending it in, but atleast u will still be able to use it. then u can sell it for money for a 1.5-2.0 psp
very cool finnaly able to get rid of that ugly grey PSP thing yay!
Has anyone tried disabling the Network Update icon? If so, what happens when you click on Network Update?
Its worth doing just incase someone who doesnt have a clue upgrades by mistake.
You see the word Disabled next to the Icon and when you click it nothing happens, maybe a split second pause.
But you can still update using a UMD update. You can fix this by setting your Firmware 2.71 or above. 5.13, 7.54, whatever ya want.
hey #14, why do you HAVE to disable network update???? if you discovered homebrew scene and somehow got xflash to work... then shouldn't you know how to not click "update",
im just sayin... but i guess there are clueless ppl out there, anyways, great program! just love how it verifys your mod before putting it onto your psp, GUI would be nice if he ever works on another one tho?
setting your firmware to 2.71 or above doesn't actually let u play umd games that require 2.71, does it? (kinda like devhook?) or is it just a meaningless number?
Naaa doesnt do anything apart from prevent upgrading.
Some games can be tricked into playing this way, SSX on tour for example. Wont boot on 1.5 unless you change the firmware to 2.0+
Devhook for UMDs
now when I tried to delete both the files through the psp it says delete failed and now it won't connect to my computer right... crap.
