v18d

Art from our forums has once again released an updated version of his wonder firmware modification program, X-Flash. A few days ago, it was in version 18c and now, he just unleashed version 18d. Just like the earlier release, this one also has Multiple Firmware Support.

If this is the first time you've heard about this or if this is the first time that this app has caught your fancy, we'll tell you something about it. Art's creation is a firmware modification program for PSP Firmwares 1.50, 2.71 SE, or 3.02 OE, this could also be used to make the process of customizing new PSP units as easy as pie. Talk about adding a personal touch to your PSP handhelds. With that, here's what's new with version 18d.

Changelog:
  • Implementation of the SDK Idstorage library gives the program access to many fields of information regarding the subject PSP.
  • Implementation of PSP Information screen with the possibility of becoming an editor. (I may not do this, as editing idstorage will always be dangerous).
  • Added restore options for 3.02 OE-A, and 3.02 OE-B to both of the version spoofers (use Square, Circle, or Triangle buttons).
Art's brainchild is considered by many as one the safest apps in the homebrew scene, but it is really important that you know what to do before using it. The risks of bricking your PSP is very low, but still, it doesn't hurt if you take some pre-cautionary measures such as reading the readme file that comes with the download or checking out our past coverage. Download link's down there, enjoy!

There's a C version of the OE - Now why didn't anyone post any news about this on this website?

Why isn't this happening right now?

And the biggest of all questions:

What's the changelog for the C version? :)

Oh wait, the biggest of all questions is this: Where to get it?!

You could version spoof to 3.02 OE-C right now that way if you wanted too.

» replying to the reply...

Wow, what a complete dope you are. Even aside from that you saw a clever lil' rib-tickler and took such a literal stance on it is bad enuff (I bet when u watch old WB cartoons you get upset when the Coyote is still alive in the next scene...), but theres so many things wrong with your reply too, Paka.

First start by reading Lupin the 3rd there's subject heading is a slilly smiley. And then your P.S. says having a N64 emu would make no sense - it'd make perfect sense, it's just not possible yet. And we know Dark Alex's fw wouldn't be possible at this point without Sony's programming, u ass.

Absolutely nothing useful in your post sir, as I suspect in your life as well. I hope your mother gets belly cancer.

FRRRRRRUNKUUUS! !!

You should be able to recover the PSP,

and don't worry that much.

You can brick your PSP simply by changing wallpaper, but that hasn't happened now, has it?

Is there any reason why the download link is through a proxy?

And by the way guys, ***** happens and people make mistakes. Just because they don't spend every waking moments on the internet looking for the newest version of X-Flash like you nerds do, doesn't mean they suck. It means they have a life.

If you have a problem with them being late, then quit whining and just go somewhere else.

What a bunch of babies....

yeah, we are no life nerds but at least we dont suck their balls like you internet badass do, old man.... Yet you the "im cool im not a nerd i have a life" guy is here arguing with a buntch of retards...

Bill, obviously you're a moron.

Because before someone writes an article he checks the source first to see if the information he's giving out is correct. QJ doesn't.

If he would've checked the X-Flash site he would've seen that the latest version released right now is v18e.

» Supports OE-B PSX Emulation!

I recently tried an experiment last time with OE-A with the Coldboot.vag file and it didnt make my PSX game work. So I downgraded and upgraded once again to OE-A (5x).... next I downloaded the Update (OE-B) the day it came out and haven't tried to mess around with the intro boot since....... But until today, I Changed my Intro boot and the PSX games work too. ^_^

---

This X-Flash18d is recommended for all OE-B users who like to mess around with their sound and settings. It won't affect your PSX games.
