WiFile Transfer v0.02 |
Ó
Luiz's program is actually based on ZX-81's PSPFTPD for fw1.5, except that with the WiFile Transfer, 3.0 OE users will now also be able to join in on the remote-file-transfer fun (sans the cables of course). So far there's only one known bug in WiFile Transfer: "Exiting without close FTP connections make homebrew freeze."
Changelog:
- Improved Clock Speed (333 Mhz)
- Improved Transfer Speed (15%)
- Added "Work Only" Firmware Validation

'sans les cable ' means wireless jusionust incase of cof
sans les cable without the cable
is there a guide somewhere to get this working? esp on setting up the PC client?
is this ftp between the psp and psp only? or is it a client and server that can transfer files between 2 psp if both are running software?
k, so i boot up app. choose connection, connect, and then it just sits there..... wtf? i pressed all the buttons(sans O, of course) but i can't do anything but connect!?!?!?! HHHHHHEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!
this article needs a disclaimer or link to say that you have to take a few steps to get your PC ready to be used for this app
I get over twice the upload speed now! I used to only get around 150 KB upload and now I get around 350 KP
is this to transfer pc->psp using pc, or is there a user mode in psp as well, like i can access my psp w/ pc, but can i get the pc from my room......
Really good app....very simple and does what you need it to do. One suggestion....it would be nice to have a default network connection option so you wouldn't have to select it every time you launch the app. And regarding the post above, you don't have to prepare your pc at all. This is an FTP server and requires an FTP client just like any other...
For those who are wondering how to get this working, run the program and connect to your access point/router for your wifi connection. your PC should also be conected to the same router and you dont need software on your pc installed. after you slect the connection and it saids connected, itll say connected! [ftp://XXX/XXX/X/XXX] open up a internet broswer and enter that address ftp://XXX.XXX.X.XXX and you should see the files on your MS and be able to download or upload files. hope this helps and if anyone know of a better way, please :)
use IE as the browser.
Well, I got my system running in 3.03 kernal and started the app. I connected to my access point but didn't get back a full address. I got: ...0...2... This is incorrect. There are no other options for me to select and It didn't provide me with a functional FTP address. FTP://...0...2... failed in I.E. as expected, due to it not being a complete address. Q. What did I do wrong? A. Nothing at all, the app just doesn't work for me. For some it does but not for all, too bad really, I've been waiting for a Good developer to spring a good functional WiFi File Transfer App on us but, it just ain't today for me.
The README file doesn't even have an extention. I got the same error.
i need sam help i upgrade to 303 co and the internet ask me for a new conection but when i tri to keep the new conection the psp turns off and dontkeep with nacing.
Doesn't work... useless.
Works perfectly! Thanks Luiz (obrigado Luiz...)
what u did wrong? easy! u have to wait a little longer...
I set up my PSP on 303krnl, started app, selected my network, connected all the way ok but, it didn't issue the FTP address. (example) "...0...2...", same like WI said. I think it may work for some but not all users regurdless of pro or noob.
WiFi Switch turned ON, Started App, I pick my wireless network, loading common net module...OK! Loading inet module...OK! Starting inet module...OK! Connectiong to access point (O:CANCEL)...0...2... The WiFi light hasn't flashed since the common and net/inet modules were OK!ed and I've let it sit for 30 min. with no results.
I'm on DAX custom fw 3.03 OE-B I get the same issues as everybody else is posting. My wifi light didn't flash while connecting either but did while OKing the modules. I'm not suprised though, his first version of this app didn't work for me either, should of figured this one wouldn't as well. Thanks anyways.
r u using whitch OE? (I'm using 3.10 OE-A')
Never mind, it's working now. Blippin thing doesn't work with Firefox.. what's up with that! Good app, very useful.
this is a great app. if u have fw 3.xx oe, just place this app in the game3xx n it should work. then, once u connect n it says connected, go to ur browser n type what it says.. e.g. (ftp://192.xxx.xxx.xxx) thanks luiz pestana, this is a great app! keep it comming!!
To all those idiots that say the app just connects and sits there: ITS SUPPOSED TO JUST SIT THERE This application is used to run an FTP server on your psp dammit. All you have to do is keep it connected, check the ip address, type that IP address on your favorite browser or Windows explorer and walah! you can now see your psp's mem card files and upload/download remotely.
wow, great app. does exactally what is says it will do. IT RUNS A "SERVER" ON UR PSP AND YOU CAN ACCESS FILES ON YOUR PSP FROM YOUR COMPUTER. not the other way around.... and the ppl who said "Connectiong to access point (O:CANCEL)...0...2..." that is it starting up the wifi connection to your wireless network.. let it go for a sec, depending on your wireless signal, and THEN another line will give you the IP address to connect!
"Connectiong to access point (O:CANCEL)...0...2..." that is it starting up the wifi connection to your wireless network.. let it go for a sec, depending on your wireless signal, and THEN another line will give you the IP address to connect! Thats the anwser I needed to know but, still no dice. I've let it sit for 45 min. and nothing ever showed up, nothing! No IP Address and I do have wireless and it recognizes my home network. I'm no noob, just it doesn't happen to work for me is all.
to access your psp after conecting , just go to my network places on your pc and it should show up there as a number like 192.XXX.X.X. click it and it should work
A+ Really great bit of homebrew ! Worked right away for me... Anyone having problems read whats been said here and make sure to to a look at the readme ... REALLY COOL STUFF !!!
how do you put files on the psp from your comp because i have opened up internet explorer typed in the adress and i can see my psp's mem card and all the files but i cant put anything on
so basically. its a slower version to put files on the PSP via COMPUTER? that is stupid. this might have a use if you could download from the psp. Define. Download files "remotley"? " holy crap. im at the computer. downloading files onto my psp. but wait. it gets better. my psp is. wayyy over there. OMGGG H@XRZZZZ sony got PWND!!!! LOLZ!!!11!!one!!!11
use windows explorer
Internet browsers such as IE have only minimal FTP support. You need a dedicated FTP client to be able to upload to servers. FileZilla is a very nice, open source one. Download it here: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/filezilla/FileZilla_2_2_30a.zip?modtime+1167878021+big_mirror+0
thanx CrashCore iv got it working now tht program is pretty good too
"Anyone having problems read whats been said here and make sure to to a look at the readme." None of the previous posts address the issues and the readme has no file allocation/file extention to read it and checking network places showed no changes/new connections and or network places.
I dont really see the point. If you could access the PC via WiFi .., preferably from the XMB, that would be great.
I got it working.. but when I try to disconnect.. it freezes... Disconnecting from access point..... Ok! Stopping inet module.... (freezes there, can't quit and it doesn't ever load) can anybody help me?
nevermind... I used filezilla to disconnect first so that it doesn't freeze.... sorry for the double post
i have 3.03 oe-b game folder is set to 3.03kernel using recovery the problem is the same as some others.. "Connectiong to access point (O:CANCEL)...0...2... and it stops there, i waited, and nothing else happend it never said ''connected''
I had the exact same problem and I'm not new to hacking the PSP and I couldn't get it to work either. Nobody yet has given me any advice that actually fixes the issue and allows me to connect. Just called me and others like your self Idiots by Uhn for not being able to figure it out. Thanks Uhn, your a douche bag.
have u tried to recreate the connection? (I'm not new, either!I have no problem...but it can work...I don't know...)
has anyone got this working with 303oeb? maybe thats the prob i've tried about everything with my router, next i'll try to update my router firmware
PSP WiFile Transfer v0.01 worked perfectly on the first try
No I have not tried to recreate the network connection via PC or PSP, shouldn't need to though. I'm also on 303OEb, perhaps your right, maybe we need to be on 310OE for this app to work?
Neither WiFi Transfer v0.01 or v0.02 worked for me and NetHost via IRShell didn't work either. I'm about to give up on any app promissing WiFi File Transfering because none of them ever seem to work like others claim they do. Doesn't make sense to me, I'm not new to hacking the PSP and I've done alot of hacking aside from the PSP. Nobody here seems to know what the problem to our issue is and or at lest addressing the issue to resolve it.
Worth a try? I think so!
i was really just looking for something that would transfer faster than usb1, since i don't have usb2, and the V0.01 of this app is no faster.
just rename the 'readme' to 'readme.txt'
yeah but at lest you got v.0.01 to work for you, Didn't work for me. I'd settle for usb 1.0 speeds via wireless if I could even get that far.
i put this app into my GAME folder and in recovery menu i changed the mode to 3.03 and just installed it
I've done the same, just didn't get a connection thats why I was haapy to see v0.02 cause I thought It might of fixed my un-known issues. I even tried GAME150 folder with 3.03kernal, nada.
