David Rudie and his famous WiFi application, WiFi Controller is back. Just to refresh your memory a bit, WiFi Controller turns your PSP into a controller for your Windows based computer. It was inspired by an earlier program called PPjoy by Mikko Monroe. This recent release is a more polished version of version 4 (which was publicly released). He fixed known bugs, like the menu selection screen flickering really bad and cycling through the items too fast plus cleaned up his code.

Changelog:
  • Rewrote some functions to clean up code more.
  • Shortened all message displays by 1 second.
You're probably thinking that there aren't that much changes in this release. Well, this ought to wake you up. Even if it hasn't been released yet, he has already put up changes he made on version 0.5! What a tease.

Changelog: v0.5 (Not released yet, but changes so far)
  • Added kernel mode to 1.x versions and removed the other for 2.x.
  • Removed flicker from menu.
  • Slowed down menu input so it's easier to select a config now.
  • Fixed some wording.
  • Renamed SocketTest.exe to WiFiController.exe.
  • Changed the invert button combo to NOTE + UP (1.x kernel mode only) and L+R+Select for 2.x.
  • Added a modifier button (note) to allow more buttons. (1.x kernel mode only)
  • NOTE + UP = invert Y, NOTE + L = L2, NOTE + R = R2. (1.x kernel mode only)
  • Cleaned up display some more.
Detailed instructions on how to operate this application is covered on this post.

Funny how my name keeps being morphed to something weird. Monroe sounds cool, but it really is Mononen (yes, there is n in the end too) :)

is that possible a USB version, and can u make a version compatible with 2.71 emulated by devhook 0.45+. it helps cuz my connection wi-fi is WPA as u know 1.5 doesn't support it

Dose this work on 2.7 ???????

» nice work

Great app. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!

» hmm

@4) Odd, I could swear I pulled it out of your code as Monone. Perhaps one of your files has the n missing and that just happens to be the one I got the name from. I'll fix the name on my site.

@6) I don't plan on doing any USB version.

@9) It will only work on 1.0, 1.5, 2.5 and 2.6 as all of those version have access to kernel mode. I plan to release a non-kernel mode version eventually that will run on all version but it will be lacking features.

» Lil' problem. any1 can help?

What i don't understand is Why you need to have a netowrk connection. If i enter the IP in that cfg-file, it should do fine or am i getting this wrong? My problem is that i have a laptop with WLAN and would love to use my psp as a controller but i don't have any netowrk connection (on my psp) set up. And like that it does not work. (i only reach step 2 out of 4 while connecting) Anyone can help maybe? thanks in advance
