WiFi

I think David Rudie is out to challenge the Neo-Geo Team on how fast they release updates on their work. Just a few hours ago, version three for WiFi Controller was featured here at QJ, that got some very good responses from you guys. Now, after laboring for a few hours to give you a much improved and even better program, he has finally released version four.

Change Log:
  • Cleaned up code some more and removed old header files not used anymore.
  • Added ability to select which WLAN configuration to use.
  • L+R+START now inverts analog Y in case some games don't support it.
  • Probably new bugs introduced. :)
You can check out his website for more info on the project as well as a very exciting to-do list, via the read link. Meanwhile, download the latest version by clicking on the download link provided below.

Thanks a bunch to David Rudie for sharing his work with QJ and our readers. Looking forward to more future releases!

Good stuff, keep the updates coming. This is a really interesting way to use the PSP. It's great if you don't have enough pads for when your pals come over.

Even though that dude is a *****ing prick, I do agree that a USB controller program would be AWESOME and ALOT less frustrating.

by imk - 2006-08-05 15:26:54
@25

go to the XMB on your psp, then down to network connections, then infrastructure, then delete config and make a new one

@32 - Just go to your Options -> Controls -> Aircraft and set it there to control the aircraft. :) @33 - You can't.

@ 33

Stupid foolish dumbass
by imk - 2006-08-05 17:33:41
@23

Sorry man, somehow I didn't see your post. I've been trying to figure out why you would get dropped. Especially after 5 minutes or so of it actually working. This program sends a lot of UDP packets (albeit small in size) to your access point, which will then send it to the IP of your computer. So a couple things that it could be are UDP packets getting dropped or maybe it thinks you are trying to flood it and automatically drops the packets? I'd look into your access point configuration. Try shooting me an e-mail to. That's the best way to get in contact with me. :D

EEEk

When i try to install ppjoy it says Cant install new device drivers. PPjoy will not work. or something close to that. Anyone have any help? I was thinking maybe cause im 64 bit.
by imk - 2006-08-05 17:39:52
@37

If you're actually running a 64bit copy of XP, then you're more than likely out of luck. If I were you I'd run 32bit anyway. There's nothing to be gained out of 64bit windows... at all... unless you have >4gb of memory or are a developer and need extra registers. :)
by - 2006-08-05 17:48:59
bleh

well, id rather not reinstall everything. It says to fix i have to manually install the ppjoy drivers... Does anyone know how to do this???

I've decided I'm going to give this program a second chance. If it doesn't work this time, it's still useless. Oh, by the way: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Portable#Ad-hoc_networks

I did everything right but my psp tells me "0 internet configuration(s) found" "select wich configuration to use from the list and press either X or O." WTF does this mean!!!
by - 2006-08-05 22:16:31
to #44

It means you do not have any wifi profiles set up in your PSP configuration. Go to NETWORK SETTINGS > INFRASTRUCTURE and add a new connection.

Joystick 2 Mouse 3

I had an idea when looking at this as I had much frustration using psp-vnc so I thought i'd find an app that uses the joystick as a mouse so I can up my mouse cursor size and sit in bed and use my computer. If you setup the above then this http://www.tucows.com/preview/292788 It's cool apart from I can hardly read stuff on the screen from my bed but the mouse moves way smoother than with psp vnc
