WaveX: Reloaded |
Ó
PSP homebrew developer Vulpix dropped by the QJ.NET forums earlier to announce the latest release of the WaveX application, which you guys may have seen from a couple of months ago. This application, in case you're wondering, allows you to edit your PSP's opening wave animation by tweaking your unit's opening_plugin.rco. This latest build, dubbed WaveX: Reloaded, hosts several major revamps.
As Vulpix explained, most of the apps used here have been replaced with rcotool, which means WaveX: Reloaded can now be ported to Linux and Mac OS X users. There's also a new tool that allows you to unlock firmware 3.60+ flash0 files.
And in case you're asking, yes - the author confirms that WaveX: Reloaded will work with Team M33's CFW 3.71. The application will generate both a system_plugin_bg.rco and opening_plugin.rco for the said CFW.
Full installation and usage instructions for WaveX: Reloaded are available via Vulpix's post over at the QJ.NET PSP Development forums. We advise users to head over there after making the download.

I'm first. yes! Lol. Anyhow, that's a cool name, "vulpix". Thanks a lot for your awesome app. i'll download this, and install it on my memory stick, and run it from my PSP.
vulpix is a pokemon i think (shoots self for knowing useless trivia)
Now I can make a shiny wave to go with my shiny Wipeout Icons. :)
this doesn't work for 3.71M33, even using the default tga's that come with the app, you just end up with a semi-brick.
even though uncertaingod said it doesnt work with 3.71 m33 this is still the first step to 3.71 customization. and only a day after its release too!
it works with 3.71 M33 on a slim, but the bootwave doesnt work, and the most waves dont come out right
actually, that's what I meant, it's cool that he named his handle after a pokemon :P Don't worry, I'm much more of a pokemon geek: vulpix has 7 tails, and turns into the nine-tailed ninetails when exposed to a firestone... LOL.
It seem that it is just the boot wave that doesn't work, but some of the waves I've been trying to recreate for 3.71M33 look weird.
Linux users can use this commands to unlock flash0: cd /path/to/flash0/mountpoint chmod -R a+rw *
i use this and got my 3.60 m33 slim bricked do not use this unless u want a paper weight
