VideoPSpy v2 - Image 1

If you think VideoPSpy is great, then you ain't seen nothing yet. Homebrew coder dark420bishop just upgraded the PlayStation Portable (PSP) video-hiding application to version 2. Among the many changes and improvements, the program can now also handle photos and all video folders.

According to the developer, the problem with hiding your media directories is that it looks quite suspicious and we can't help but agree dark420bishop added that this is even similar to programs that ask for a password. So he reckoned that the best way to solve the problem is to create a harmless looking app (a calculator for this instance) just waiting for you to enter the right password.

Anyway, as we've mentioned, there are a lot of new things to VideoPSpy v2. The complete changelog is as follows:
  • Version 2 includes the option to run in various non-exclusive modes. (Note that version 1 ran in mode 1).
  • Mode 1 - swaps your videos from the MP_ROOT0MNV01 video directory
  • Mode 1 - swaps your videos from the MP_ROOT0ANV01 video directory
  • Mode 3 - swaps your photos
  • Mode 4 - swaps your videos from the VIDEO directory
The accompanying Readme file has other important details and instructions on how to use this really nifty application. If you just want a calculator, for that matter, the Readme has some reminders for you as well. Enjoy!

Update:  The developer informed us that there were typo errors in the readme file of the binaries which may have caused users some confusion. Luckily, dark420bishop also sent us the updated file of VideoPSpy v2 where these have been corrected.. Have fun using the app.

Sorry, there was a typo in the readme. Already fixed. The modes should have read:

Mode 1 - swaps your videos from the MP_ROOT0MNV01 video directory

Mode 2 - swaps your videos from the MP_ROOT0ANV01 video directory

Mode 3 - swaps your videos from the VIDEO directory

Mode 4 - swaps your photos

# time consuming?Guest 2007-04-10 16:23
Doesnt that mean that after u type in the code u have to exit out again and enter your video menu? Adding the time for the gameboot to show and for you to type in the pass, thats like 2 mins or so when u could just use Hidemov

If you look at the lua file it's actually a really simple code so with a few tiny changes you can really hide any folders you want
