Video converter: PSP Video 9 v4.05 |
Ó
Looking for a video converter app to play movies and other media on your PSP eh? Yeah, sure you are, and I know video converter apps are a dime a dozen out there, but that doesn't mean there's no more room for this baby. It's from the Red Kawa team, and they just rolled out PSP Video 9 v4.05.It's got your standard fare of converting functions, but what makes this special is that if you pair it with Videora (another app from Red Kawa), your PSP will be able to automatically download videos from a torrent client and convert them into your PSP.
Now. The changelog...
- Updated: VideoInfo 4.0
- Updated: MediaInfo 0.7.10.0
- Changed: VideoInfo Parsing
- Added: New Firmware to Lists
Thanks to Animaster for the tip!

Last time I tried to install a newer PSP Video 9 it was loaded with spyware and had all of these streaming video feeds trying to sell me crap. I can't remember what version that was, I think maybe 2.0 something, when Red Kawa took over (not sure if these guys were the orignal creators or if they just took over the project). So I'm still using Ver. 1.02 which was made back in '05... An update would be nice, but there's no way I'm taking a chance with this "Red Kawa" again unless someone can confirm that they've cleaned up their act. Any idea, guys? :/
Once upon a time, when I first got a PSP, I was looking for video converting software. PSPVideo 9 was recommended by a couple sources so I tried it. When I ran it, tons of "You won a million dollars!" ***** popped up. I promptly removed it from my computer. Here's how I interpret that changelog: - Added new meaningless options to listboxes - Added more viruses and exploits You should try PSPVC. It works great, produces nice quality video, and it's still actively developed.
Still using Xvid4PSP 4.114. And right now it's ONLY available on QJ! Just another reason why QJ is the best.
It's not just available on QJ, and the reason you only see it here is because Winnydows has a site for it. http://winnydows.com/page.php?2
well actually i have it installed on my vista, there no spyware or popup popping up...dunno about your guy's imaginations...
don't like it: - not intuitive to use - what's with the adds, get rid of those or place them more out of the way - still very slow - program window is too big installed it.. and got rid of ti again i'm sure there's some good programming behind this app, but please do something about the gui and make it easier to use, these things shouldn't be harder than 1. aad file 2. click convert and done, i'm back to winavi mp4 convertor, is twice as fast as this, seriuosly guys and now i'm tired of typing, been typing all day i hate myself
Emphasis on 4.114. The 5.xx releases are actually less configurable and inexplicably remove batch encoding.
I never had that when I used on my XP and Vista.
