Vice City Stories CheatDevice v2.1: Have fun with gravity |

Just two days after the original release of his Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories Cheat Device in PRX form, the amazing Edison Carter has come to the rescue of Vice City Stories players by updating the CheatDevice to version 2.1 today. This CheatDevice, being in the form of a PRX firmware file, have to be run on DevHook in order to use it. To install, simply use the provided easy-to-use installer and then run Devhook emulating 2.71 with the 2.0 > 2.xx UMD trick enabled. It's that easy!
This version adds more of what Edison Carter said he would add in his last release. There is now also the ability to play about with gravity and do funny things to your car. Haven't guessed what Edison said he would add in his last release yet? Here's what's been added in v2.1 :
- Play with gravity: Heavy car or bike
- Make your car indestructible
- More teleport locations. This is what Edison said he would add more of and the range has got much larger since v2.0a. The large range of teleport locations makes getting to the missions easier if you don't mind cheating your way trough VCS.

For cheats to go into yout cheats.txt, go to http://cheatsync.net/app, then change the game option to Vice City Stories, and hit Search.
It's 2.xx-->2.00 not the other way around.
Self extracting EXEs are a pain to install in Linux with WINE. Is there a downloadable zip, rar, or .tar.gz instead of this exe? -.-
ok is there anyone who can tell me how to get vcs to work in devhook first before adding this cheat device? cause i used an installer for devhook and then changed the pspbtcnf_game.txt to use the cheat device and i cant even get vcs to start. i get... error (followed by random numbers with the first digit 8)
why isnt there a cheatdevice for 2.81 yet?
2.81 isnt exactly hacked so it cant run any homebrew or anything like teh cheat device.

Can any of these cheat things change cpu speed i hate te gta games when it comes to frames.
I'm not sure if its just me but has anyone else had the same problem as me?? I installed this cheat perfectly!! "as the program does it all for you" but when i go to spawn Vech. the game freezes than PSP shuts down.... I've only done the 1st mission than saved with puting in the !st weapon cheat manually "L,R,X,U,D,[],L,R" x5. Not sure what the diff. is between the Rhino and the trashmaster spawn are. But sum cars will spawn most freeze. If sum1 knows what im talking about and knows if its a GLITCH or i didn't do sumthan right. Plz help!! LATZ
I don't won't to use devhook to make cheat device to work. Does anyone know if he is working on a game save like he did for Liberty City? That's what I would love to see! P.S. you ppl kill me with the FIRST POST!!! crap - get a life.

unless u know what it is u are spawning i advise not doing it because it may be a boat or something weird that doesnt spawn correctly rhino seems to be the only 1 that works for me as well

ok i falshed mine to my psp but not this version the old one how can i update it to this one please help!!
use the vcs iflasher, it was on the front page yesterday so just scroll to the bottom of the front page and go to next page until youve found iflasher. then download it and put the folder in your game folder and download this file and put the .prx in your memory stick root. then run vcs flasher through your psp. once loaded, press update. then it should be good.
Which devhook actually allow you to change clock speeds higher than 222 because the one im using sure cant. Its the vshex mod the c version. It freezes on any UMD when clocked over 222 that ive tried. Kinda sucks, with irshell and mphloader i was able to overclock, and notice an overall noticeable improvement.
damn i wish we would be able to fly the airplanes and helicopters but they dont work for me, dose this happen for anyone else aswell mypsportal.com
how do u use the cheats from version 2.0? or are only gravity cheats usable. I really want to use the various other ones like lowering wanted level and controlling the weather
guys!!! i dont know what the heck!..but i swear i saw something on vcs,i was walking on the streets,the police were chasing me,i pressed the L + R to look backwards to see if the police was near...but before i pressed the buttons,i swear that i saw a guy in yellow,it was..some thing,i dont know,he was wearing a yellow clothe and he has a big head,it was like the how's that game called...oh yeah Katamari Damacy,the head was like the guy of that game,a big head..so i look backwards to see if the police were chasing me already and when i release the hold of the L + R the yellow thing wasnt there,it just dissapears,im still waiting and prepared for another chance and take a snapshot of it,im not joking,please if someone saw it or something reply this..lol im kinda confused and scared for this,its like the Big Foot stuff about San Andreas the people made(but it ends being a fake),but this is for real,i saw it,im looking for someone else that saw it too to be sure.(and sorry about my english,im from puerto rico so i dont know english so much)

Do we use this new version for LCS too or is it better to still use 1.0d?
How do you even run the game from UMD on 2.71 HENC? I have the 2.71 devhook, but that 2.xx->2.00 trick doesn't work. Since this cheatdevice uses the PRX exploit, shouldn't we be able to run the game on 2.71 HENC from game->memstick->cheatdevice? I've heard a lot of goofy stuff about how to run the game, but none of them is possible for me. The SFO hack was basically my only chance, but it didn't work and neither did the UMD swaptrick. I'm just thinking, what fw are you all on, and how do you run the cheatdevice? Is it from emulated 2.71 and then game->memstick->ECCD? Please help me, I spent $75 on this game and yet it's still just standing on my shelf! :(

Ok how is this that 2.80+ is part of the psp and yet jack asses still put 2.xx, 2.xx is for all the firmware STUPID
Just boot devhook at 222mhz. When the game starts, press home. In the XMB you press home+select. Now you'll see that you overclocked it to 333mhz. You should be able to start the game without freezing it now. (if there are any mistakes, I'm dutch +D)
