Gee, haven't haxed enough in Vice City to satisfy the burning hunger in your cheatish psyche? Edison Carter packs one new feature into v2.3 of his VCS CheatDevice for Vice City Stories. So what is this brand-new feature, pray tell, that deserves such an update by 0.1 of a version number?Why, the all-new Construction Mode. As the animated GIF from him perfectly illustrates, users can now plop down, for example, overpasses to bypass those killer traffic (ideally, the only killer traffic in the game should be you, but that's another thing entirely). Hopefully that looping GIF is only a taste of what users can do to make Vice City a friendlier place for overspeeding and reckless drivers everywhere.
Like the previous CheatDevices, "After installing, wait at least 15 seconds before turning off USB or pulling out your memory stick. The PC caches your changes and doesn't write them out until a while later. If your memory card gets corrupt, use chkdsk /f X:" Whether you're going to use the easy installation program, or do things the hard way, please read the Readme so you have a better idea of what exactly is going to happen.

Is there any way i can run this on 3.02 OE-B without using devhook?

I just checked and yes it does work with OE-B just follow DAX gave us on using our own modules and make sure you enable it in recovery mode.
Just put the prx in your ms0:/seplugins/ folder, with two txt documents.
One called game.txt, the other vsh.txt in those documents should be ms0/seplugins/vcscheatdevice.prx
Then go into recovery mode,(power on hold r) go to plugins and make sure it says enabled for both.
I didnt try what i said, i just assumed it worked.
But obviously it doesnt. damn, psper what did you do to make it work?
u can do that. place the vcscheatdevice.prx file in the "MS0:\seplugins\ " directory, create a file called game.txt. Add the following into that file:
ms0:/seplugins/vcscheatdevice.prx
Boot the PSP into recovery mode by holding down the R button, go to plugins and enable the cheatdevice.

I beat Qj to finding this new V of Cheat Device for vcs I found it last night that means before this ha ha ha

Please can you update the LCS cheat device prx to suppport the same functions as the save game one?

download the CheatDevice UMF installer by coldbird. then replace the file vsccheatdevice.prx in the install folder of the umf installer with the new cheatdevice.prx
adn viola instaleld and ready o go!.

The only thing that u dont need to do is put the ms0:\seplugins\ vcscheatdevice.prx into the vsh.txt file, because u dont need it running in the xmb, and then if it isnt in the file it will only come up on the plugin list once. Just make sure it is enabled adn it will work. i already had this set up from 2.2 and so all i had to do was copy the file.
what firmware is this for ?

Right, for those who can't get it to work with 3.02OEA here's how its done!
connect USB to PC and PSP.
open up the drive (usually F,G)
open up the 'seplugins' folder
put vcscheatdevice.prx in here
create a txt doc called vsh
create a txt docs called game and write 'ms0:/seplugins/vcscheatdevice.prx' (without quote marks) init
restart PSP and hold down R
go to plugins and enable the cheatdevice
its exactly the same as 2.2 just larger and it says 2.3 at the top. I see no construction thingy?? some1 help

keep going down, its on the second page of the device.
i just got the add on cheats on the second page, on the first page the last thing is hover cars.
Just disable irsmp3 mod and it'll work just fine.

i have 3.02oe-b and put the cheatdevice.prx in the seplugins
folder. than i go into the recoery menu and enable the cheatdevice plugin.
now i reboot and vcs is starting.
than i see the videos. at last i see the screen with the licenses and other text and the psp turn off after 10 seconds.
when i disable the plugin, it works.
i have the EU UMD.
what i make wrong?

It only works on the US and UK versions of the game. That's what it said on cheatdevice.com.
does anyone know how to make the cheats in the create cheat mode?
but i used the installer . . .booted devhook .51 emu'd 2.71 and started vcs and nothing happens . .?Am i missing something?
yeah vcs requires 2.81 fw my sugestion grow some balls and get 3.03 oe-b
so if i emu 3.81 then it'll work
