USBon Plugin for PSP - Image 1In your opinion, what PlayStation Portable (PSP) plugin is the most useful? Whatever your answer is, we're pretty certain that will be debatable depending on our needs. To each his own, or so they say. But to homebrew coder vodkkaa, it's the one that concerns the handheld's USB function.

Haven't heard of such plugin? Well, there isn't exactly one that's why the coder created the USBon Plugin. The name of the application is pretty much self-explanatory. With this plugin, you will never have to go to Settings then activate the USB mass storage function as you can do that  by giving the right shoulder button a quick press. Some other features of this include:
  • For 3.03 OE and 3.10 OE
  • Quick toggle of USB Mass Storage
  • USB connection anywhere in the XMB
  • 4th brightness for 3.03 OE users
In the event that you have another plugin installed to your flash0 (and we believe you do), take note that you will need to add them to the "pspbtcnf.txt" before flashing. Speaking of which, you already know the drill: don't tinker with these things if you don't know what you're doing.

Flashing any kind of file to your PSP runs the risk of bricking. Read the accompanying Readme file for more details and instructions.

» Somewhat useful

There are already plug-ins that do this, I don't fully understand why anyone would care except for 3.03 OE users since it enables that final level of brightness.

» Custom Firmware Extender

Has an auto USB feature although, it is slightly different because you don't have the on off function of the R button but there has been these types of plugins around since 1.5 custom firmwares : ,

this has been out for atleast 4 days. the original one had the usb ALWAYS on but people had trouble with usbhost so the r-trigger switch was added to fix the problem but this defeats the whole reason this plugin was created

» All I WANT!

This is nice, I will use this. But the creative mind behind this or any other DEV out there. Could I ask you a favour?

All I've ever wanted for my PSP, is control of the Note Button and the Function that it uses when listening to music w/ headphones. You know switch the Preset EQ's. Can anyone do this, Please?. Without having headphones or the remote dongle plugged in.

» You know...

I use this on my 3.03 OE-C, but I just wanted it for the brightness level =D. Besides, when I try to put files on my PSP, my memory stick doesn't recognize the file unless I use the original USB connection option.

» stop nagging

dont like it, dont use it. stop nagging and contribute to the community by making something better. This is fine, and adds another plug in to the list. everytime i click on a page here, there is always someone putting down the program.
