USB CamPRX: Chotto Shotto on 2.71 |

When we said grand time, we didn't only mean in a jovial, selfish kind of way. Fr@nkie, through an email, informed us regarding the PSP camera being ran on 2.71 SE-B. As we all know, the camera requires 2.80 and comes with firmware update 2.82 on the Edit UMD. It's a good thing though that those techie people who already received the camera are thinking of the whole PSP community.
The homebrew application is called USB CamPRX. We really can't host it, but if you know your way around the internet you should be able to find it. Also, here's a video clip uploaded via YouTube by Amanogami, possibly the coder of the application.

This archive contains a prx coming from Sony's update/flash, that is a copyrighted material...this is not homebrew. The only piece of homebrew is the software that flashes the copyrighted prx into the flash. You could easily think that is done that way, but if you don't and don't believe me just open the prx and read " GCC: (GNU) 3.3.6+allegrex-2.2.2-psp-1.10.2.internal ", or check the prx against 2.8x update files.
I just tried to flash this and it kept giving me errors. Then it started doing some weird crap and I thought it might be deleting critical files so before it got too far I turned it off. That way I could recover if it was messing up things. But it appeared to be doing a fw dump. Hmm??? The error said could not open ms0:/flash0/vsh...etc...so I'm not sure if this is for devhook or what, but why would it start a fw dump? In the vid he clearly shows 2.71SE-B'' but he doesn't show himself flashing this prx either. I don't know what to think.

i can confirm that this runs on 2.71 devhooked. i dont have the camera but i just acquired the software to test.. it works.

Get the usbcam.prx from 2.82 and put it in the 2.71SE-B'' install bit.
2.71 se-b'' supports those language now.

Personally, as the creator of 2.71 SE, I don't really think that a usb camera is necessary. However I will perhaps build this prx into the next release. Watch Out for it!
I have No clue to were to find this program. I know the prx is in the 2.82 update, but how do i get it/install it! I am no nube, just not all here to day! LOL Any help would be rockin, thanks!!

There is nothing set for a US release of it yet. I think i will get it now from Japan so i can use it with 2.71SE. Sony might up the anty now that 2.71 uses can use it! IT would rock if peopel could figure out how to write A true Hombrew app that could use it, or gigure it out on how to intigrate it in to some cool Homebrew!

This was an official program done by Sony on his memorystick as an Iso.

no matter wut i do, i cant get the usbcamprx thing to work... everytime i load it up.. i press x on "copy usbmicPRX from ms0:/usbmic.prx" but it just says "copy failed. file missing?" what am i missing? i put both the usbcam and usbmic in my ms0:/ ... and if i press x somewhere on the bottom.. it'll say please wait but after its done it says Firmware dumped. which is not supposed to happen.. but as i change the files manually ... devhook doesnt load up.. so thats wrong.. but yea.. i dunno wuts wrong.. help me!

wen u click on the camera icon under the pic menu in the later firmwares is there a particular reason y it says "Connect A camera compatible with...the USB connector"..... does that mean it doesnt neccessarily have to be the Chotto Shot because it says "A" rather than "the" or chotto shot
