uPSP v2.0: remote torrent downloading via the PSP |
Ó
Homebrew developer NameTaken33 has updated uPSP Beta, turning it into uPSP v2.0, moving some of the old features around as well as adding some new ones into the mix. For those who haven't heard of uPSP, it's essentially a remote control for your PC's uTorrent that is specially made to fit the PSP's web browser.
Below is the changelog for the web-based application. If you'd like to figure out how to use the application, we suggest you visit the forum link, which has installation instructions and the URL you can use with your PSP to access uPSP v2.0. Enjoy!

Comments [refresh]
U know, I thought this app was pointless in the first release, but now that Im seeing PICS of it, I must say it looks amazing.
I sincerely apologize, NameTekken33. I'm definitely using this--GOOD WORK!
BTW, {noobish Q} can u check those stats from anywhere with WiFi access?
this has made such huge improvements since the original
At the original i was like "wut a noob we can download on pc or through browser" but now with all the extra features it promises i will use this quite a bit! Sry dude you are no noob NameTekken33
Thanks guys. I appreciate the thumbs up :) I working on a couple other things for it right now that will make it easier to get to and im looking at the possibility of adding torrents from your PSP.
By the way...It's NameTaken not NameTekken
;)
Um, is there a download link for this anywhere?
I still cannot get this thing to link to my downloads. I have tried using my computer's ip address and ports, but it only shows 0 downloads.
Does this app allow you to download directly to your psp or do you need your Pc ...My pc is at my mom 's house right now and I don't have access to it however I miss my torrent and it would be cool if I could use my psp as a torrent....I seed
It's not exactly a homebrew program for your PSP. It's a web-based application which lets you view and control torrents downloading on your PC in a more "PSP web browser"-friendly format. The upside to this - it can also be used with official firmware.
You need to have WebUI enabled in utorrent for this to work. To avoid typing headaches on your PSP, make sure WebUI works with a regular browser/PC prior to trying it with uPSP.
I got it to show up now. I was using my pc's ip address instead of the one listed when you test the port. Everything shows up now.
why would i need this?
