*UPDATED*LOLstation - POPS Fix updated with 3.30OE-compatibility

LOLStation screenshot - Image 1Given that Dark_AleX released 3.30 Open Edition firmware just a few days ago, expect the resident PSP developers at the QJ.Net Forums to start polishing up their homebrew projects with a corresponding update. And that's exactly what Pharonyk has done, as LOLstation - POPS Fix gets boosted up to 3.30OE compatibility.

As the coder stated in the README at the forums regarding this PSP-based app's use, "This Homebrew will flash two files to your flash0 to allow you to have a custom boot and play PSX games. If you didn't know, having a custom 'opening_plugin.rco" (boot) would interfere with your PSP POPStation..'"

Full usage instructions and other important details are available in the README file. Keep in mind that this PSP app will run on firmwares 3.10/3.30OE only, and that there is always a risk of bricking your PSP when you flash a file - you have been warned. With that said, we also suggest readers try to visit this application's release thread over at the QJ.Net Forums for other additional details. Enjoy the download!

UPDATE: Reading your comments, we decided to look into this matter. Apparently, coder Pharonyk has recently updated his forum post and said that the download would only work on 3.10 OE. He also mentioned that you could ask the 3.30 version from him by simply sending him a private message. The easiest way is to get on a torrent site, and look for a PSX game that has a "PSXPSP" tag on it. Those are PSX games that have already been converted by other users for and are XMB ready. When you download and unzip, transfer to your psp game folder and just run from the XMB.

This interferes with 3.30's pops for some reason, it mentions something about activating your system first, as if you needed a PS3. I would steer clear if you are on 3.30 OE

I updated to 3.30 OE and I Can play PSX. ISO . But after updated this POPS Fix I couldn't play PSP ISO or PSX, Even UMD and Homebrew too. Everytime I go to the game and it forzen. Can You tell me how too fix it...??? Thanks Thanks

we can run our own games, whilst still having a custom opening, by fooling the GAME_PLUGIN.PRX into reading a different opening plugin to the one we use to boot up the PSP

1) if u have backup original game_plugin.prx, put it in vsh > nodule and overwrite the faulty one. if not, dump official sony 3.30 fw data.psar to get it



2) toggle flash0 in recovery mode, go to vsh > resource and delete "0"pening_plugin.rco.



3) overwrite the opening_plugin.rco with original one.



You r good to go :)

Well overall I think its a great release. I mean. Right now I am running 3.30OE_A. I have a custom boot sound. The "Playstation Portable... PSP" sound. So yeah. I hope that "Pharonyk" Gets the bug's in 3.30OE_A so I can continue playing PSX games on my PSP. I don't play many PSX games but its always nice to know that I can. So yeah. Great release =]

hello, i installed this, but after it flashed the memory, my PSP wouldnt open the games folder, i looked for game_plugin.prx, and opening_plugin.rco to replace the custom files. i found opening_plugin.rco and replaced the custom file with that. now it will enter the games folder, but when i enter a game it just freezes and the psp backround shows.



can anyone give me a link to the game_plugin.prx file or tell me how to get it, thanks
