Ó

Here's the final version! - Image 1Winnydows has just  finalized Xvid4PSP v4.049, and we've now got it up for you as well. The application is basically free video conversion software, allowing you to switch vids to new formats on the fly for use with different players. In this case, you can either go for smaller file sizes or better quality depending on your video, your needs, and your patience for video conversion.

We'll be listing the full changelog for 4.049 here as there seem to have been some changes along the way, including the removal of the MP4 PS3 output format. That being said, enjoy!

Xvid4PSP 4.049 overall changes:
  • Small revolution - DVR-MS files (Media Center) now synced
  • Small revolution - VOB files decoded over DirectShowSource now synced too
  • AVI files with 120 fps now synced too
  • Added new option - Convert FPS. If some unusual file desynced, try turn on this option.
  • Small aspect and resolution fixes.

  • MP4 PSP and MP4 PSP 480 formats now support 23.976, 24.000, 25.000 fps framerate.

  • To menu Settings added new function - Reset all settings.
  • To menu Tools aded new function - THM Creator.
  • FFDshow now integrated to main installer.
  • Updated German localization.
  • Added MKV splitter to main installer .

  • Now program auto select best for your CPU x264 version.
  • Now for 2-pass and 3-pass for first pass always used speed preset (turbo).
  • D2V creation progress now 100% correct (thanks DGIndex author).

UPDATE:

aDcOoL told us that Winnydows released XviD4PSP v4.1 Final recently. It's a good thing Winnydows himself told us it was coming, or we probably wouldn't have been checking it that often. That being said, he works very fast.

XviD4PSP v4.1 doesn't have an actual changelog, but apparently, 4.049 Final crashes, so this should remedy that. There also happens to be a new layout as well, so you can enjoy a new layout with your conversion. As always, make sure you have up-to-date MS .net Frameworks to get this up and running properly, and enjoy!

# 2.35:1 aspect ratio woesGuest 2007-02-04 03:31
I'm trying to create an "MP4 PSP 480" video from an Xvid which is in 2.35:1 aspect ratio.

Is there any way to add black bars (top and bottom) to the video, so that the original aspect ratio would be preserved? I've tried fiddling with the settings in Xvid4psp, but whatever I do, the resulting video is always stretched to 16:9.

so many psp video formats to choose from, which one converts to the nearest psp format (480x272) without altering original video image (stretching or shrinking)... which is the psp friendly format?.. I know pmp need some mod to play.

And last but not least, what is the recommended audio bitrate?, not to loud, not too soft... 96 or 128?

10x in advance!
