*UPDATE* Universal Module Installer R2! |
Ó
Talking to Coldbird the other day, he told me that he wasn't happy with the way Cpasjuste's overclock mod worked. The fact that it simply overwrote your module loading file meant that if you had installed any other mods, they wouldn't work. He revealed that he was working on a module installer which would flash modules safely and non-destructively.And today, he has just released the first version of his Universal Module Installer for Dark AleX's 2.71 SE firmwares. While the installer itself is a great piece of work, there are a few things which will probably be included in the next version. Currently, it's still very easy to install the modules you want. Only thing is, you have to read the readme file thoroughly, something which isn't done much.
As always, the readme file mentions the correct usage of the installer. In case you can't figure out how to do this, you can either wait for the other programmers to package their mods with this installer, or pester them to do it. Like we said before, the installer modifies the module loading file non-destructively, so your earlier mods will still work after you install a new mod. Have fun, and if you need help with it, you can check out our forum thread using the link below.
Update: Within a few hours after the original release, Coldbird has just released an updated version of his Universal Module Installer, R2. Below, you can find the changelog download for the updated version.
Changelog for R2:
- Added my own Credits and secured them (to stop Hex-Editors...)
- Added two new Options to Configuration File (Projectname and Author)
- Recoded my Comparation Core (Windows will no longer trouble you with its damn Upper and Lower-Case Problems)
- Improved Module Loading List Management
- Refined the Error Handling (You no longer will get a Message like 'Something is wrong... fix it!' - but more like... 'This happened - Do that!')

Universal Module Flasher R2 is out...
---
About Modules... yes - if properly coded you can see them as Plugins for your Firmware!
On my Webpage - http://coldbird.lan.st - for Example... I develope Game-Trainers (For Cheating in Games) - Which can be flashed using this Installer...
Or... Maybe the Overclocking Modules... they allow to speed your PSP up - thats quite useful in Games that lag terribly at normal Settings!
Yes... Plugins indeed would fit best as Description...
Wth does all these model stuff do? it all seems friggin pointless to me
are the best
cheers, thought that was the gist of it - I just couldn't find many modules, maybe ther should be a list of modules people have created...or something
im usually pretty good at figuring out the stuff but i just got back from the hospital. my face eye and upper lip were swolen. now they got me so drugged up i can barely open my eyes any help will be appreciated my email is sean89420@yahoo .com no spammers i dont like potted meat
but they had me so drugged up at the hospital. that i was almost laughing when the nurse was fondiling my junk cause i had a rash alll over me. hahaha itchy.
Does this do anything or is just for loading/installing "plugins"?
I understand now.. This is good
This Universal Module Installer of mine is for Developers to create and easy to use Installer for their Modules...
So Endusers like you Guys can simply run the Installer and have ur Module ready for use... ^_^
