Unlimited Video for PSP v1.4.0 - new GUI, compatibility fixes - Image 1Homebrew developer lefbe has released a new version of Unlimited Video for PSP, the Windows video encoder for formatting videos to Sony PlayStation Portable friendly format. Version 1.4.0 now includes real-time information encoding, a progress bar indicating memory use, and increased compatibility for MKV encoded videos.

Depending on your firmware, you can convert WMV-formatted files (or even AVI, MPG, MPEG, MP4, VOB, 3GP, 3G2, MKV, MOV, and DIVX) down to resolutions of 368x208 (firmware 2.0 and above), 480x272 firmware (custom firmware 3.03 OE-B and above), or 720x480 (firmware 3.30 and above). PSP homebrew application Unlimited Video for PSP version 1.4.0 can also extract system information to display, aside from a totally new interface for the app - even for ImageToPSP.

Users of Vista will want to know that certain fixes have been made to assure error-free WMV encoding in the operating system, though some problems still exist. The video encoding homebrew application comes in a Windows Installer executable (MSI) and rounds up to at least 6.8 MB in size.
