Ultimate Flash Operation v2.1

Almost219 dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to let the PSP homebrew community know that Ultimate Flash Operation (UFO) has been upgraded to version 2.1. Updates to look out for include bug fixes and improvements for the recently added support for CFW 3.51 M33, as well as expanded compatibility for other files:

Fixed major bug, not allowing you to backup your files, and making 3.51 M33 access the wrong files
Displays 129x99 screenshots now
Beginning Backup only shows up if you don't have a backup in the themes folder
Support for flashing of all files in VSH/RESOURCE
Added:

auth_plugin.rco
common_plugin.rco
dd_helper.rco
game_install_plugin.rco
htmlviewer.res
osk_utility.rco
loadcore.prx
loadexec.prx

Above also added in Mix n' Match mode
More support for 3.51 M33 Mode - won't accidentally flash incompatible files.
Code improvements (more stability)

Keep in mind that UFO has been built to work on firmwares 3.30, 3.40, and 3.51 only, but Almost219 notes that more features will hopefully be added for 3.51 mode in the near future.

Given that it's a flashing application (among other functions), we advise to back up your files - mishandling apps like these may lead to bricks. Most of the info you'll need to run UFO v2.1 should be available in the file readme, and Almost 219's thread over at our QJ.Net Forums.

1st I'd like to say a BIG F|_|CK YOU! to Almost219 and whom ever else is responsible for this piece of trash.

This type of rubbish should NEVER be release ESPECIALLY on QJ's front page! This is NOTHING BUT A SEMI bricker that would just cause disapointment and trigger a million 'my psp bricked' like posts.

And to the person responsible for releasing this junk on QJ (I'm looking @ you Tim Y.)

Do yourself a favor and REMOVE/DELETE this cr*p before you get flamed by newbs that semi bricked their psps and are in panic mode due to this article.

I've personally tried this on M33 CFW and thought "hey, why not give it a whirl"

I follow the 'readme' down to the small detail as instructed, but as soon as you load this you are warned that u should create a backup of you flash0 due to future recovery options (which I dont understand why but it ALWAYS failed. and returned a msg saying Lua loader failed, blah blah....)

so why even make an F0 backup if ur not going to have the chance to even use it once.

So I skipped that cos obviously there's a BUG with that and went ahead and flashed the ONLY theme they have available. As soon as I reseted it went on the BSOD and when u press O to reboot, it hangs forever and the only thing u can do is just do a hard reboot. (battery off method.)

powered on and as soon as it hits XMB it gives another BSOD and the loop goes on endlessly.

My point is this kind of hobebrew that obviously the creator HAS NEVER TESTED HIM/HER selfshould NEVER make front page in QJ. It's incredibly irresponsible and just plain wrong.

I've NEVER made a negative remark about QJ EVER. This was my 1st. but I read ALOT of complaints like this that just seems unlikely to have been so, but in reality, it's completly true.

My msg is that to NEVER EVER release/news flash this type of semi-brickers cos it is just wrong in ALL aspects.

happy bricking to those who wish to try this out! and again, F|_|CK YOU! 'Almost219' for this r3tard3d, most useless homebrew EVER released.

ok, a LOT of people have tested this program and it worked perfectly for them and I did test this myself. Just because you had a problem with it, doesn't mean everybody will. Before you go accusing everybody, did you even convert the files to work on M33, or did you just flash any theme on?

ok yea 2.0 was screwed up and i can see where he got pissed yea it did the same to me about not being able to back up my recovery flash but i did that to a lot of people but some bricked and the lucky ones didnt. mine didnt brick *knocks on wood* but i thought it almost did. but hey i mean you would be mad too if yours bricked up. so just let him rant im just glad that im not the only one this brew is kinda screwy.

Now remember, the warning does say that if you use a program that modifies your psp's flash, there is a tiny chance it'll brick anyway. Looks like Jacob drew the short straw.

it's suppose to be common_page.rco, UFO v2.2 should be out very shortly for I've spent the day debugging it, and i've fixed 3.51 M33-6 support, along with some other things.
