If you have TA-082/086 I highly recommend you do not use the 3.50 downgrader until the future of custom firmware becomes clear. Dark Alex quit so probably no more OE custom firmware. You will NEVER be allowed to upgrade to official Sony fw if you need to and becus25's IE custom firmware does not work with TA-082/086. If you downgrade now you very well may regret it.

mike is right. if u downgrade on a ta-082 mobo u cant go back to official. the best u can do is probably get to 3.30 and then u stuck.



the reason why is because the dg patches one of the keys to downgrade. patching corrupts the key. key cleaner doesn't unpatch the corrupted key either.



if i were in you situation, i would wait for fanjita to make a eloader for 3.50.

I'm just going off of what the warning that was given when the 3.50 downgrader was first released. If you are at 3.30 or higher and downgade to 1.50 you will never be able to upgrade to official fw. You must upgrade to 3.50 to use this downgrader which would put you in this category. But if you renamed the latest official fw to update.pbp and ran it it thru recovery mode? All I can say is maybe. It certainly would be a risk.

so i took a beautiful 1.5 chipped ta086 PSP upgraded to 350, then downgraded with the downgrader to 1.5 again



then i upgraded back to 350, no issues, but then again its a chipped PSP, so you never know

It actually worked with mine, I downgraded using the Lumines 3.50 downgrader for my TA-082, and my custom firmware wasn't working....so I used Chilly Willy's Keycleaner to fix the keys...



The key thing here though, is once you're on 1.5, you upgrade to 2.71, and get the corrupt free downgrader, that has the 1.5 enabler that Chilly Willy made....the 1.5 enabler patches the key that is changed so 1.5 is enabled (hence the name), but if you already have your key patched, you can actually unpatch the key, by pressing square on the screen when it says 1.5 is enabled or something like that....I followed Chilly Willy's advice, and my TA-082 is back on OFW (I still have CFW on my TA-079, just so I could keep a comparison)

I will always apreciate the custom firmwares that Dark AleX created but I must say f*uck Dark AleX. He has left all us cfw users completely f*ucked. Because he created it he has a personal responsibility to continue it or to pass it on to someone who can.

I dont blame mike for the way he feels, Dark_Alex did a great job and who knows maybe he will continue to release CFW under different names. However DA should atleast fix the key problem with one more release before he leaves.



Hes leaving all the people with an 82 with buggy ***** they cant upgrade he should atlease fix that then leave.



Thats like getting a hitch hiker through the all the cities and towns but dropping them off in the desert.



Anyways I would recomment he fixes the ***** up first then leave the scene with good karma, you dont want a bunch of PSP'ers with *****ed up ta82's cursing you 24/7.

and Accept it DAX makes the best maker of custom firmwares, and IE custom doesnt even compare, hence DAX is a Big Loss. We may eventually end up back to using Devhook for our latest firmware emulation solution.

First of all i dont know if somebody already told this in the above posts, i'm not going to read all of them, the thing is that i have a psp from day one of the released day and right now i upgrade to firmware to 3.50 from 2.71 and then i try the downgrader 350HEN using a Lumines ULUS 10002 GH, "GH" stands for Greatest Hits yep this games works, so moving on i downgrade to 1.50 firmware and there you have it, i have right now a 1.50 psp firmware, and then i take all my chances and try to update one more time 3.50 like you normally do and without any hitch i'm back to 3.50 psp, there you have it if you own a psp from those dates you can update and downgrade without any problem, right now i'm going to enjoy 3.50 because i have never been on this firmware may be later i will downgrade one more time. ENJOY!!!

Yes that was mentioned in the original downgrader release notes.

I think you can already do it manually though.

There's an app that can be run under 2.71 that can change your keys back. You'd need to run it in 2.71 or higher, or you'd brick. So just change keys back in 2.71, then upgrade away.

I don't know all the details, but it's something I'd find out for sure before downgrading!

wow that sucks for me i have ta-82 i just wanna take a huge shiiiit and send it to all the sony companies....

you cant use it cuz the exploit was found in the first lumines' saves.

the saves wont work for Lumines II
