Time Machine Configurator v2.0 - new program code, security controls and more |
Ó
It's not uncommon to see homebrew developers building upon each other's work. Remember how Red Squirrel came up with an application to help configure Dark AleX's Time Machine for the Sony PSP? Well, Red Squirrel has done it again with Time Machine Configurator v2.0.
These are the changes in the latest version of the Time Machine Configurator, according to Red Squirrel:
- Program code is totally new.
- Program is in Italian if your PSP is set to the Italian language, otherwise it's in English.
- Instead of pressing a key, now you can choose it from a list. For this reason, now you can use ALL keys allowed!!!
- The possibility of using a combination of two keys to launch a TM Firmware.
- The possibility of viewing the actual TM configuration before you create a new one (SQUARE option in main menu).
- The possibility of choosing what Firmware to configure.
- The program will now show what combination of keys you choose.
- At the end of the config procedure program, it will show the actual configuration and what the new configuration will be. You can press START to write the new configuration, or press CIRCLE to abort and return to main menu.
- Program has some security controls, for example:
- Program will insert the "NOTHING" option (if present) at the end of the config file (like suggested by Dark Alex)
- If you insert two equal combination of keys for two different TM Firmwares, program will give an error message and will return to main menu BEFORE you edit the config file!

seems like a good little app. useful for all those who don't want to spend the time reading a little on how to configure TM themselves. personally i still love my phat, dont have to deal with TM to run certain things.
Yeah. It's a subjective thing. ^^
i thought i made it clear last time this is soooooo pointless. 1st of all the TM has a readme telling you how to configure it in the plainest form of english possbile. If you keep making these automated programs these foolish noobs will never know how to do anything EVER.
Noted. :)
Remember, though, that not all people are as talented at fiddling around with homebrew as others are. Some people really need help.
