PSP Homebrew! - Image 1After a short hiatus, benh is back on the PSP homebrew scene with a new app called Super - Flasher. Super - Flasher, which is currently at v0.1, is a program that flashes to your PSP. Right now it only flashes gameboots but benh plans to add more features soon, such as a theme changer, a version changer, and a more user-friendly interface.

Like we mentioned, Super - Flasher writes to your PSP's flash be very careful and make sure to read the readme file included in the download before you try it out. According to benh, Super - Flasher has only been tested on 3.03 OE-C, but since it's just a basic app, he reckons that it should work on most homebrew-enabled firmware.

we dont really need this on 3.03 OE-C do we coz we have flash0 & flash1 acces from recovery menu. Or have i got that wrong? Its still nice to see more devs on the scene though.

gee another waste of space and time... please can you come up with something original and different and usefull!!! no more same old, same old when it comes down to it this is a very basic version of what loads of other programs do loads better, and with the new 3.03 oe-c you dont even need it people moan about sequals on games, i really cant see the point of this, COME ON YOU DEVS!!!! STOP REHASHING STUFF THATS ALOT BETTER ANYWAY AND GET SOME ORIGINALITY ON THE GO

hummm

What's the point in all these new flashing apps? They all got like one or two features that X-Flash has, and even now when flashing can be done directly via usb-cable, these coder dudes keep writing more and more their "yet another" flashing apps -_- No offense, respect to all you guys with your pizzaboxes and coke-cans, but... c'mon, try to hack us goverment for instance than bother us with these. Thank you.

Stop complaining...

Sure we have a lot of programs that flash stuff for us, but the fact is that benh put his time into making something that could benefit some people. I don’t see any of you people making programs. Stop *****ing and support the homebrew community.

Read if you're planning on running this app

Pleaaaase, no apps like this.. There is NO proper readme file, and this sucker writes gameboot without asking, OR without checking if there is a gameboot.pmf in the root!! So, as the readme doesn't say where the gameboot file should be put, user (me in this case) ran the program file to see whether it is said there, but NO, it wrote to flash immediately after starting the application resulting a PSP that can no longer run any applications! *****c! Thank GOD (Dark_Alex) there is a recovery mode planted in the 3.03 SE firmwares, otherwise I would've come and strangle the programmer myself. So listen up all the people with non-custom homebrewable firmwares: Don't run this app.

update

Huh, the apps did work after all, but it did mess up the gameboot though.. I kinda paniced when it flashed without permission and some of the apps didn't start, now it works, with rewritten gameboot file.

He reckons, huh?

I'm from the southern US myself and even I felt a shiver when I read that. I don't recommend using it at all, but if so, don't try it on lower firmwares.

readme

Hi it does say in the readme that everything is done automatically, and when i said automatically i would have thought that everybody new what that meant, I did warn you to use this carefully its only the first version althought i am working a an updated version at the moment that does ask for your permission.

to Benh

In future applications please include all the detailed information in the readme file, so people can read it through before running the app and know every needed detail. The readme in this one was quite uninformative and didn't say where the gameboot.pmf should be put. It's always a bit of a rocky road in the beginning, but it keeps getting better, so keep up your work!
